A 3rd foul in the first half kills so many team's game plans, especially if it's a key block player. Adding a 6th foul would essentially mean a 3rd would allow the player to remain in the game before the half. If the NCAA is so intent on replicating the NBA, maybe they need to look at this issue. They can't have it both ways.
I don't know. If a game were 48 minutes long, like the NBA, I could go for that. I just think it's questionable strategy to sit a player with 2 in the 1st, and downright silly when they have 4 in the 2nd half.

What if a player was allowed a maximum of 3 fouls per half? That would come with good and bad, but would have an interesting effect on how the end of games are played.

Eventually, coaches and players are going to adjust. It may take a couple of seasons but the final product will hopefully be more enjoyable to watch.

Damn, does all this mean kicking players in the face is finally illegal?

It was last year, obviously, so I assume it still is.

The art of sarcasm is not very strong with this one ;)

I think that call depends on what size, style and color of shoe a player wears. A lot of variables to process make that a real tough call.

I am 110% positive that a kick to the face on an NCAA court would be called immediately, player ejected, and coaches warned about proper sportsmanship.

Anything mentioning any other outcome is absolutely a slap in the face to the integrity of the NCAA.

NCAA and integrity in the same sentence...shame on you.

I got the full sarcasm effect. I was just adding some of my own, keying on "finally". :)

I thought a team could only have one closed scrimmage. Guess not. Looks like Baylor thumped Memphis.

This speaks well for our team against athletic competition.

                      • You can play two if you want. I believe Texas has had two for the past several years.

A team can have two exhibition games; one exhibition and one closed scrimmage; OR two closed scrimmages. Two events only, but mix-or-match types.

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

This is correct. Not that it needs my endorsement.
