Mitchell Anderson from Bradley is on the Playboy AA team along with James Wothy, Sam Bowie, Dominic Wilkins, and Ralph Sampson. Solid!

Question: does the fact that Cle played under Marshall's score-by-committee offense factor into the discussion? I'm on the fense, but maybe I can get the ball rolling here…

      Congrats to Cle!

Whether Cle deserves serious consideration definitely depends on how this season goes- if he plays up to his potential and lands on a 1st, 2nd or 3rd team AP All American team then I think he deserves it. There's no chance he gets those honors without leading us back to the tournament with a decent seed, which is something that none of our other retired numbers guys ever did in consecutive seasons (or more than once in their career).

Couple that with a F4, NCAA All Tournament Team, likely being the leading scorer on two of the best WSU teams in school history, and potentially being our first NBA draftee in more than a quarter century and it seems very, very silly to automatically DQ the guy just because he spent two years at a JUCO.

Now go earn all those accolades I just bestowed on you, Cle

P.S.- Ross McBurney probably deserves a nod before anyone else since he is one of just 3 consensus AA's ever to attend WSU (along with X and Dave), but that movement will never get any traction since the number of fans who ever watched him play is fast approaching zero.

I am COMPLETELY down with a McBurney nod. If you read up on the guy he was an elite stud in his time.

Do it for McBurney!!! And I am not kidding.

He looked like a future NBA player tonight.

So far watching ESPNU has been a waste of time. Interview with HCGM was good but its the players you want to see. Shut up Calipari.... I want to see the SHOX...

I wouldnt rule it out for Earlys number to be retired. Even though I think he needs anotheir big year, stay out of foul trouble, take it to the rack, live on the line, then shoot the three. If he plays smart and stays on the court sky is the limit.

After the 20 minutes of what I've seen, you can mail in the Valley POY ballot already.

The most impressive thing about Cle at Shocker Madness were his handles. I wasn't just that they looked better than last year (when he needed improvement in that area), but that they looked good by any standard.

Does Cle break Antoine's 47 point game record this year? He's certainly capable.

In the league we are in, I wouldn't bet against it. He got fairly close with 39 points last year I believe

The thing working against him is our motion offense that spreads the ball around and HCGM's history of working the end of the bench..

However, HCGM may want to get Cle rolling with the national pub and feed him the ball.

It's going to be a fun year, if we stay healthy.

This year will be a lot of fun. Cle looked great. I thought his block of Cotton was clean...at least from my angle.
