I'm a season ticket holder for the Portland Trailblazers; like any sport, the amount of noise depends on the fanbase. The Blazers fanbase can get loud, even for "routine" (i.e., not Lakers) games. I'm an alumni from 83, meaning I saw a LOT of games in the "heyday" of Carr, Livingston, X, etc. and it could be MUCH louder than AFH (I'm a KU alumni as well, from 88). It's ALL loud when the fans get into the game!

nba crowds are the loudest of all, though, no doubt.

One reason Koch is so loud is the curvature of the roof -- sound bounces off the roof down to the center of the floor. Sound in rectangular buildings gets somewhat lost in the corners.
In an open air stadium, some of the sound is lost to the sky. It should take many more fans in an open air arena to generate field-level decibels than in a closed stadium."I not sure that I've ever been around a more competitive player or young man than Fred VanVleet. I like to win more than 99.9% of the people in this world, but he may top me." -- Gregg Marshall 12/23/13 :peaceful:

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".
A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."
