Not trying to be a dick, but if you enjoy bb and are still enjoying the memories of last season, it may be of interest. I think you may agree that the guy who made the video did a great job and worked for about 4 months on the thing and your video with some of the old tradition shots reminded me of this, so I will offer it just for the heck of it. Obviously, it is all UofL, so just ignore if you like. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uqCS3aQajy8

Does anyone see a different starting line up than this:

        PG - FVV
        SG - Baker
        SF - Cotton
        PF - Early
        C - Coleby

With all the doubting Thomases that have posted in this thread, I'm certain to take a load of carp for my expectation.

2 losses going into St. Louis. Ranked in the 5 - 10 range. A 2 or 3 seed in the NCAA's. E8 or better.

Before I hear a chorus of "you can't win them all" and "there are certain to be some unexpected losses", I agree with that. That's why I'm predicting the 2 losses.

I'm not predicting cutting down the nets in St Louis. I'd prefer a reasonably long winning streak to end in Dallas. I don't expect a ridiculously long winning streak ending in Dallas. The pressure of winning 12 or 13 in a row is a lot higher than the pressure of winning 6 in a row.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

            @Aargh:, here's a nice load of "carp"! :)

It just goes to show where your program is when you can say that a record of 22-9 would be an unmitigated disaster.

A couple of losses would not be outside the realm of possibilities. I expect to cut down the nets in Saint Louis. Once you get to the Sweet Sixteen anything is possible. I like our team, our chances, our coaching staff, our fan base.

I expect a handful of losses from this team. HCGM is not a cliché “take it one game at a time” coach. He also is more than willing to “watch” regular season games play-out when WSU struggles against a lesser team. I believe he wants to see his team learn from tough situations and sometimes I think he refuses to help since he is pissed that the team isn’t playing good basketball.

Alternatively, in marquee game / tournaments situations he is much more active and responsive to the ebbs and flows of games. If someone isn’t performing they are replaced, if the team is struggling changes are made, time-outs are utilized.

I don’t expect that to change this year. Combine history with the fact that you are going to have nights where it all goes wrong or the other team can’t miss and you are going to lose a few games.

My expectations - this team will be better than last year, because Fred takes a strong leap forward. We win the league at 15-3, win in St. Louis, and go into the tournament as a six seed.

Only about 2 or three of us were even close. Anyone else care to revisit like me?
