Saw that Felton, Carmelo, and World Peace are sitting out tonight. So, hopefully Murry gets some run. It seems there was some excitement following Summer League from Knicks' fans on his prospects. But I think the point has been made ... we are talking about the Knicks ... so who knows.
The game is on NBA TV tonight.

TM is having a fantastic night and getting lots of love from the Knicks network broadcasters. At end of the 3rd: 12 points, 2 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 assist. He has the best +/- rating on the team. Stand out defense. A sweet behind the back pass on a fast break to end the quarter.

Kind of a nightmare for TM in the 4th quarter.

To me it appears that he was really tired as he came in with over 6 mins left in the third and finished the game.

Murry, who impressed Knicks coaches over the summer in Las Vegas, finished with 16 points in 31 minutes on 8-for-21 shooting. The Knicks also outscored the Celtics by three when Murry was on the floor. Looking at plus/minus stats in a single game often is misleading, but in a game that the Knicks lost by 30 points, Murry's plus-3 stands out.
                      Just read that at: http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/kni...r-roster-spots

Just goes to show how extremely difficult it is to make an NBA team and how ridiculously good the talent level is at that level....

The amount of work Toure has put in just to make it this far is impressive.

The article points out the contract status for the Knicks and a logjam at guard. TM's best chance is not with the Knicks but opening the eyes of some other teams. He'll either get assigned to the Knicks' practices quad/D League team or will sign with another team who has room on their NBA roster. Regardless, lets hope he continues to open those eyes.

Gal Mekel had a tougher time of it in his preseason openers, but according to the second article he has been up against some of the NBA's best point guards:

With only one healthy point guard, rookie Gal Mekel who had four of the first-half giveaways, the Mavericks were throwing the ball all over the place.

Mekel, who commiited nine turnovers in the first two games, is in the Mavs' starting lineup because of injuries to point guards Jose Calderon (hamstring), Devin Harris (toe) and rookie Shane Larkin (ankle).

If both these guys end up on a roster, i'd hope we could get their framed NBA jerseys in the locker rooms. Time to start a new tradition.
