        Jake Odum?

        I like Jake, but I don't think of him as an All-American. I do like that the Valley is getting more love though, so I am not complaining.

          Probably mostly a coincidence but I think Early has something to do with the fact that our first two signees for 14-15 are SFs/CFs. Just send them the Louisville tape and say "son, this might be you in 3-4 years."

            Is Lute Olson still alive?
            Deuces Valley.
            ... No really, deuces.

              It appears that he is still alive and just turned 79 years old in September

                But how many timeouts does he have left?

                  That is pretty good. I am glad he didn't know how many he had left when WSU played Iowa. I think the crowd frenzy may have had something to do with that.

                  He gave the Shocker crowd some great kudos after that game.

                    These oversized "team" honors annoy me a little. If it is supposed to be a watch list for a NPOY award, that's fine, but if it is an "All-America team" honor, then there should be five on a first team and maybe another five for a second team. There aren't 22 guys on a real basketball team.

                      I counted 22 names... 351 teams x 13 players = 4,563, 22/4,563=.005

                      top 1/2 percent of D1 players isn't that oversized is it?

                        McDermott is a walk on. So with walk ons...
                        15x351=5265 22/5265=.004
                        Top 2/5 percent.

                          First team, second team, honorable mention would be pretty standard so 15 players.But what's not too like in the top .5% as Ta town says. Really do we have to find something to complain about with every piece of good news!

                            Ta Town has a point though. It really shouldn't go over 15 if it's a team list, but if it's a watch list for AA candidates or NPOY than it may be a tad small.

                              Maybe add 5 more slots for All-Defense Team, otherwise you have are nothing but forwards/centers on your All-American list (well not really, but you know what I'm saying). So you end up with 15 + 5. Then maybe an MVP slot or two?
