Wendell, just pass the ball off or something. I'm going to stop there before I say something that will get me banned. Coach just said he wanted to put Lance in just before Wendell got stripped. Gal had a great game but also had some bonehead plays that didn't help. Good effort though, but a win would have been so sweet after the struggles this year.

I did not get to see the game from Vegas. I did get analysis from my most trusted source, but I am yet to see similar analysis regarding where this game was actually lost.
I wonder if someone will come to his conclusion here- I will not hold my breath.

- We had difficulty defending ball screens giving the Bluejays too many good looks.
- CU's guards were able to penetrate in the 2nd half and get layups or kickouts.

Also, I thought Phil showed pretty poor judgement, especially for a senior on about 3 of his second half fouls.

I think it's still important to keep the whole 'Gal-thing' in perspective. Gal is not a natural point guard. Matt is. Matt's out, and Gal has done his best to fill in and in my opinion has done as much as he can and then some. It's also important to note that he's still a Sophomore, and before this year has never had experience in the NCAA in those last second plays.
I'm not suprised by his mistakes at 'crunch time', but I am disappointed. Hopefully if he returns next year (doesn't go off to play pro in Europe or whatever) that he can get back to the 2-guard spot where he's at his best. Clevin can hopefully run the point, with Gal sharing minutes at the 2.
This year for me has really brought me back to reality in terms of what we have. PJ--as much as he's meant to this team is a good role player and especially good at defense--not a guy that can lift everyone up on his shoulders. Gal is a good shooting guard, but not very good at the point (though he's improved dramatically). Wendell is at best a good 3rd option on the guard position, not a 'starting' quality guard (that's not to take away from his effort--he just doesn't have the skills). Phil is a good forward, but is a little too small to play the 5 against bigger opponents.
On and on.... other's have posted the same stuff, but as frustrated as I am that we couldn't pull this one out, it isn't suprising, and I thought the guys played nicely for the most part. It was a nice effort.
I hate to sound like a broken record, but as we all know, HELP IS ON THE WAY NEXT YEAR, and hopefully some of these guys who will be returning will be able to go back to the roles they are best at, rather than being thrust into roles they don't necessarily have the skill to fill effectively.

Confidence. When your ahead in a game like this, you must be confident that when you have the ball, YOU are going to dictate the play. One or two more quality offensive possessions in the last 6 minutes could have changed the whole tone of how those minutes actually played out. A couple of more scores by us during that time and CU has a little more panic in their 3 point shot, they miss and start fouling. You cannot be playing confident and have a shot clock violation at that time of the game. The Shox are in the "spoiler" role, the pressure is on the other team. Then again, maybe I'm over estimating what we should be able to do.

He actually started by saying "Guys, I'm going to win here. For you seniors though, this is your last chance".
Someone should start working on GH's eulogy.
Gregg also commented that he liked it that the CU fans were really, really happy to beat us. "I like it that they are so happy to beat us.....today. I like that."
HCGM is like Rocky in Rocky III. He's kinda standing there, hitting himself on the chin, taking everyone's best shot....."You ain't so bad....you ain't bad!"
He's not getting killed.....he's getting mad.
Payback is gonna be a *****, *****.

PS My wife says Lance is great.
