It would be nice to have a clearer idea of pricing and packages on the Cox site. Outside of that, I've never had a lot of issues.

My brother has the 6-tuner DVR, another 2-tuner DVR, and 1 additional HD box. You can initiate a recording and watch from all 3 boxes. He has 3 TB of storage (about 1,000 hr of SD recording), the S&I tier, Variety tier, and bonus tier. He bundled with the Premier level internet (50 mb/s) and home phone for under $180/mo.
He also gets the Contour app, which allows him to watch a lot of shows on his iPad in his house live, or on-demand outside his house. It really is cool.
My issue with Dish and Direct was always having to sign a 2 year contract with only the first 12 months at the promotional rate.
Either way, they are a distant 4th or 5th in quality, reliability, pricing, you-name-it for tv/internet service. I just can't believe how many people put up with such an inferior product. I've had UVerse for a couple years now and have not had ONE problem the entire time. Not ONE.Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

If it's the former, you could theoretically get around it with a proxy server, if you could find one fast enough to stream a game through (you'd probably have to pay for it). If it's the latter, you could theoretically get around it by using an out of town friend or relative's cable information for ESPN3. I don't know if it still works this way, but I logged into ESPN3 for the first time from my wife's family's house in Seattle, and for at least a year ESPN3 was going off of their cable service before it finally got around to asking for my own info.
Justin.tv might be another source. I've watched FSU games on there in the past. Theoretically, you could set up a stream from an out of town person onto Justin.tv that others could then view.
Not that I would recommend doing any of that, of course.Deuces Valley.

The DVR browser is basically the same as Dish.
If you just want basic cable with Kansas Now 22, it's like $18.00 a month...and you get to watch the Shockers.Livin the dream

Every channel offered by cox (all premium channels) all in HD. Record and watch in any room. Three HD DVRs. High speec Internet for $220. In McPherson we get Cox out of Wichita, so it should be the same package.

Man I'm so old. I just can't imagine $180 per month for television. That's $2160 per year. If you put that much in an IRA and made 5% on it per year starting 35 years old, you'd retire with 1.7 million dollars in the bank. If you did the same thing at 25 years of age you'd retire with $3.1 million in the bank. (Assuming retirement at 65 years of age)Kung Wu say, man who read woman like book, prefer braille!

Using 5% and 2160 at the beginning of each year, after 30 years, the total would be $150,683 and after 40 years, $273,973.
But I understand your point.
