Now, how do they do with 3 games? Playing round robin?

I've brought this up before, but the closed door scrimmages really burn me. Baylor obviously sees the value of playing Wichita St., as have others including KSU. However, they won't agree to play when the lights are on. Gregg ought to press the issue that if these BCS programs want the door open to scimmage, then they need to be holding a date during the season. I know there's no leverage, but in a day-in-age when $$ is harder to come by, and there's zero $$ being made by the scrimmage, something has got to give. This doesn't even speak to the thousands of fans that would give anything to view the scrimmage.
I'm not sure the upside is worth it: meaning the value of stiff pre-season competition.

Sure, the fans get to see a blowout that means nothing, but I'd bet that 3G and company get a lot more out of an organized scrimmage against quality competition than they would a beatdown against Emporia State. Plus, it gives the new guys more of an idea of what they'll be facing which prepares them a little better for March. If 3G decided to demand an actual game to continue these scrimmages, we'll be stuck scrimmaging UT-Pan America, and they may just return the favor and say not without a scheduled game."I not sure that I've ever been around a more competitive player or young man than Fred VanVleet. As long as 3G can find a decent team to go up against I expect the closed scrimmages are here to stay."I not sure that I've ever been around a more competitive player or young man than Fred VanVleet. I am not opposed to having one exhibition game because even though it is against a lesser opponent, there is something about playing in front of a crowd that takes getting used to, especially for the new guys. Yes, in this year's case, our first game will be against another non-D1 opponent, and in most years, it is still a team that we could sleep walk through. Still though, I'd rather get a game in that has a crowd before playing games that count.78-65
