He will be African American, come from or have experience dealing/recruiting in a major college hotbed and an assistant from a decent program. It's pointless to ponder, too many assistants to count. GM will have options and will certainly parlay the FF run.

What's the point in guessing? All of this was pre-orchestrated when Danny Ainge decided Larry Brown should coach at SMU and that K.T. would be a better fit there while WSU would need an upgrade after their deep NCAA run. Gregg Marshall' s next coach was chosen even before Ford left. Now it's just a matter of the new assistant and HC3GM being allowed to know who it is. Patience.

I would love to have Matt B back and recruiting Texas.
I'm really hoping Matt ends up on the staff at some point, but he probably needs to get some experience recruiting somewhere. I would think he's going to have a lot of competition against assistants with significant prior experience. I hope he ends up here, though ... unlike KT (who I would personally think lacked credibility in recruiting given his job hopping -- who knows if that actually matters to recruits, though), I wouldn't think Matt would have ANY trouble convincing recruits about how much he loves the program. And there would be no concern there with him lasting at least two years.
This will be his third season as a video coordinator at Maryland, right? How long does someone usually remain in a position like that before moving up to a bigger job?
