Zach Brown: Pursued WSU and had offers from programs that are really hard to beat.

Q: "Is there more pressure on Valley BB teams to raise their program profile with the departure of Creighton?"
Barry Hinson: "We had a Valley team go to the Final 4 and compete for a National Title and it wasn't Creighton. I think we'll be just fine."
    LOL! That's awesome.

He mentioned a "commitment" but did not mention Brown by name.

Zach Bush is the walk-on from Goddard. Zach Brown is our first commit for the 2014 class.

          • No, SeK, you're confusing ZacX's. ZBush is already here: a walk-on last year, a local kid who originally signed with Washburn, switched to WSU, and sat out. Bush is 6-6 and slim, a superior Kansas high school player who is listed as a forward but reputed to be a pretty good ball-handler, too, and better than your average walk-on.

ZBrown is 6-6 and from the Houston area, planning to play next season at South Kent Prep in the northeast. He's regarded as a very good prospect and defender capable of handling guys at multiple positions. He is most assuredly not a walk-on candidate. http://shockernet.net/forum/showthre...-Verbal-to-WSU
