Does anyone know who owns the trademark "arch madness?" I assume it's the MVC, but if it's the stadium owner I suppose we really could be "sharing" it.

Boycotting would only hurt the team. I suppose we should just wait to see what happens and then react.

WSU has NEVER won the Valley tournament in St. Louis. I am not sure how boycotting hurts the team that much.

I do think WSU fans should insist that the 2017 tourney be held in Kansas City. If they can make the Shockers go to horrible little stadiums in Normal, IL and Terre Haute for the baseball tournament, the other schools can make one lifetime trip to KC in 2017 for the basketball tournament. How come the Valley of Even never seems to include helping WSU?

As long as St. Louis wants the MVC, we will be there. If they can get better attendance (which we know they probably will) with one of the BIG conferences, they will give Elgin his walking papers. Why not wait to see if we're hurt before we yell.

We are hurt every year they keep the tournament in St. Louis. It's past time to start yelling.

Basically the only two teams that brought a lot of fans to St. Louis were Creighton and WSU. If we decided not to show up and St. Louis fans don't care about MVC Basketball and the total draw for the tournament is like 10,000 can we get rid of Elgin and move on?

The Valley isn't interested in helping everyone. They're interested in helping the majority.

Unfortunately, the majority are borderline broke and primarily concerned with travel costs. When we're at an 8-2 or 9-1 disadvantage (depending on where you put Bradley) as far as our outlook on basketball compared to the rest of the conference, we're not going to come out ahead in any back office conflict.

Creighton was the only other program that would have been a political ally of ours in the conference.

True, but this thread has already talked about a possible move to Chicago, which the last time I looked, was about another 4 1/2 to 5 hours driving time FURTHER from Wichita than St. Louis. If all the other Valley schools unite, we lose.
