  • Prayers for a ShockerNetter

(@_kai_: please feel free to move this to off topic but I wanted to get it maximum exposure to start with.)

Many of you have seen the occasional post from a great WSU fan, moshock from time to time over the years. I've had the distinct pleasure of meeting him and he's even a better person once you get to know him. When you talk about "salt of the earth" you're talking about guys like moshock.

He and his family have endured some hardships of late, and yet they take everything in stride. Hardships I'm quite certain I could not handle, even on my best day, but he continues to stay positive and look at the silver lining.

I just found out that last Friday, he and his family suffered a complete and total loss of their home, including everything but the clothes on their backs. Thankfully, no one was lost to the fire but there were some minor injuries.

Please keep him and his family in your prayers. Frankly, I'm getting a little tired of good people like moshock, '8 and Aargh suffering through these difficulties. It just doesn't seem right to me.

@moshock:, ShockerNation is behind you 100% Keep the faith my friend!

That's just awful. Thank God there were no serious injuries.

One of moshock's hobbies is drag racing. Some of his fellow racers have set up a fund to help his family out.

Here is the link to that fund if you would like to contribute:

While they are insured, they did lose everything in the fire and this event could potentially be devastating to them.
