auction was great. It was the SEC Championship game package. 2 tickets, flights, hotels, and I think a little more. The dude that did it was in the wrong and knew but I guess it did raise an extra $25. ha. the other auction stuff i saw got picked up right away but that one was hidden in the corner with a few other stuff.

It seemed like things were really going high in the live auction this year. The silent auction was wall to wall people and those items were going high as well. They should be pleased with the money raised.

are they sending a message that our 5 super hero youtube sensations could be our starting 5 for next year...FVV, Baker, Cotton, Early and Coleby...in that order 1-5...sure does sound nice, with Evan "Iron Man" Wessel as our 6th man, first one off the bench...now the question is who wants to be Spider Man and Thor...man, these promotion videos were awesome, and shows the grind dont stop, even in the offseason...GOSHOX

How about the $25,500 for the Final 4 package with the ring?

I told my wife to open the bidding at 10k, just so she could say she did. They started at 1k and couldn't count the bids fast enough. There was a point that I didn't think the 2 bidders were going to stop. I figured when they got to $25000 that they might just stop and say both could have a package for that amount. Impressive to say the least.

The family dinner in the Champions Club this fall was a winner too. The auctioneer person near my table however wasn't aggressive enough and I am pretty sure I got shut out, which is a shame, since I was the 1st or 2nd person to commit.

That continues to be a winning combination, with lots of people willing to plunk down big dollars. Hope they continue to expand that in future auctions, ESPECIALLY volleyball.

It's even more successful when you have about 1000 people, most who aren't going to drop the several thousand needed for most of the live auction items. I know I tend to get a little bored when the auction gets deep and something like that in the 250-750 range at least makes me sit up and take notice and keeps me there later into the night.

By the way, Coach Lamb looks fantastic in a Green Lantern eye mask with Hulk hands. FANTASTIC.

If you left early, you missed an unforgettable rendition of "My Way" performed by AAD Daron Boatright who can really sing, and complete with augmented lyrics making it "Gregg's Way".

Good music selection including the Foo Fighters....not going to get Sinatra and the Foo Fighters at the same event every day.

Is there anything left? If so, what happens to those items?

Initial reports put the total at $312K. Nothing went without a bid and most items went appropriately high.

Not even the table decorations were left, some of which were toys belonging to children of the staff and volunteers.
