If ever there was a player who could have a great college career but never make an NBA roster, it's Fred. There is no way whatsoever that he ends up playing in the NBA. Zero. Nada. None.

How did you handicap Jeremy Lin's odds? Not disagreeing that FVV would be a longshot, but 0 to third?

Maybe, maybe not. But if not, he'll be the lead point guard on an elite European squad getting paid large and winning a championship or three.

Don't argue with Jamar. He's the King of Statistics. When he says zero, it means ZERO.

For reference, please refer to his 2012-13 WSU team predictions.

That is not allowed. What JH4P says, goes. He has a proven track record.

The best NBA prospect on WSU's current roster is obviously Cleanthony Early, but I'll cast my vote too for the always overlooked Tekele Cotton.

The progress he made as a shooter just during this past season suggests to me that Cotton can develop the ability to hit an NBA three. If he can, he has a very legitimate chance to be the short version of Bruce Bowen -- and as a Spurs fan, I loved Bowen -- i.e., a lockdown defender, in Cotton's case against PGs and small to medium SGs, with enough ability to hit threes to make him a serviceable offensive player as well. That's certainly not to disparage Baker and FVV, especially Baker, who has size on his side over Fred. But Cotton's D and toughness make him the next guy in line (unless, of course, Andrew Wiggins is here next year).

I don't agree. Cotton and Baler would both have to play point. Of the two, Baker is a point. He handles it, passes it, and makes others better.

I have been a HUGE ambassador for Cotton. Tekele is tenacious, ferocious and has the mentality to play in-your-shirt posiition defense against almost anybody. How much of his success, I wonder out loud, reflects the team defense utilized by HCGM? Certainly he should be on the all-defensive team, but the MVC defensive team of the year contributes tremendously to Tekele's success. One might call it a perfect match!

Perhaps Cotton could play SS in the NFL.
