Marshall's charity Auction May 4: I donated a "rare" 1981 cup - Battle of New Orlea
It went for around $3,000 I believe...but considering team signed balls have been selling for under $200 on Ebay, that's a really good total for WSU. Other auctions around town for charities have been selling them for $300 - $1000.
Two different charity auctions this past month had the balls go for between $3000-5000 (alcohol involved in both). The balls on ebay were crap balls. I like the ones supplied by WSU better. Fortunately I already have two of them for this year's team. There will be some being sold and auctioned off next weekend along with magazines and floorboards.
Bring that plastic folks.

Ahhhh, the sport of kings. Oh, wait....
Must be nice to have that kind a moola to splash around. My mid 4 digit SASO pretty much taps me out for doing other large "basketball/sports charity". As much as I like sports and anything Shockers, I always have this small guilt feeling about the amount of funds I place here and possibly short changing other real charities. Sorry for the Debbie Downer post, guys.

How much of a charitable deduction was allowed? The difference between what was paid and what was allowed as a charitable deduction will give you an idea of the value of the balls.
