A bracket breakdown: team 1 lost in the 1st round of the NIT to Robert Morris. Team 2 lost in the NCAA's to LaSalle, steam pummeled by WSU.
Those two teams are WSU draws.
I'm already saving up for Sweet 16 t-shirts.

Look at it this way, last year we werent in anybodies bracket at the beginning. Finished 4th in the nation. This year were in so we must finish even higher.
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kickass ... and I'm all out of bubblegum.

Still, it shows a lack of respect for us. It just does. Some teams that are apparently going to be better than us:

Don't we play this team in Wichita this year? It should be fun.

I know this is tinfoil hat paranoid, but my first thought was Lunardi must be thinking, "Oh, they had such an easy path as a 9 last year, let's see how they like facing a real 1 seed with 5 McDonald AAs this year."

I did? Where? I think I said we'd have a Top 3 finish with maybe an outside chance of an NCAA appearance. I didn't make anywhere close to a prediction of an NIT one-and-done and I certainly didn't state that we'd have a "disappointing season".

Moreover, I'm not calling out people for their positive predictions after a Final Four run after missing predictions by a mile the last go-around.

I'd stay away from the call-outs and the making fun of people in that department.

You thought WSU would be middle of the pack, a spot that doesn't even guarantee an NIT invite. Sounds like you were atleast as wrong as I was. However, it doesn't really matter. Pure gut based predictions aren't worth whole lot. They are fun to make and share, but in the end, who really cares?

The recent post I made that you are up in arms with wasn't gut based. It was simple statistics. Instead of arguing against my math, you pulled the conversation down an unrelated rabit trail.

Easy to say that you don't care when you were so badly off.

Just stop laughing at people that made better predictions than you did. That's all that I request.

                    #9 seed? that is ludicrous.

                          Hi everyone,

I do my own bracketology. I have a preseason bracket already up and I do update regularly. I have WSU as a #7 next year.

                            wow.. nice effort. much appreciated.

'shockers are going to be better than that though imo. i'd say more like a #3 or #4 seed. take it to the bank. marshall smells blood, and full mayhem ensues. do you, and maybe some others, i guess, still not know what a great coach he really is? creighton was saved from a nasty mvc embarrassment at the hands of the shockers next year, i'll tell you that.

Just as an outside perspective, you're losing some very nice talent in Hall and Armstead. But you do have some young talent coming up. Early is your guy next year and he needs to Baker and Cotton to step up. No doubt you have a great coach. From a talent perspective, I can see Wichita's ceiling at a #5 seed next year.

disagree, as stated earlier. cotton is acc level, baker is big 12 level, van vleet is big 10 level.. obviously. now they improve from last year. did you know that wichita state went to the final four last year and will be improved next year (although a final four is never guaranteed, unless you're the top two teams)?

can't go into long drawn out posts, but creighton was going to get clocked hard next year anyway by wichita state.
