    True.

And if a student is concerned they may miss or be late to a game for the thousands of possible exceptions there may be, they can always buy a general admission ticket in advance

          • The best thing about the college basketball offseason is that it ends. The second best thing about the college basketball offseason is that when it ends, it ends so quickly and so exhaustively that within a few days you have to remind yourself that there was ever an offseason in the first place.

            Midnight game baby!

            • Considering there are a lot of old folks and parents with kids usually in attendance; realistically, how full do you guys expect Koch Arena to be for a midnight tip-off on a school night?

              • Pretty effing AWESOME!

Well, DPruett, it's a once-in-a-lifetime event. You only live once. People can either deal with it or not. I mean, people could actually take a 1 or 2 hour nap around 8 if they really are sweating it..

I know where my ass will be at midnight on the 11th though. I'll be watching a Final Four banner getting unveiled.

It'll definitely be a few thousand short of capacity. No matter what some want to say, parents of younger kids are likely to stay home and keep their kids home as school should definitely come first. There will be those that will choose to stay home because of having to work in the morning. I'm not sure anybody can really blame those who may be concerned with work. Especially those who live outside the area. You're talking about getting home at 3am or later depending on where you live. Some may take the next day off or will risk being tired/fatigued. Props to them. Any students on campus that have early morning classes may choose to stay home. Again, you can't really fault students for putting school first. Some students will do both, and again, props to them. Some of the more elderly group simply may not be able to stay up that late and I'm not going to go off on them if that's the case.

Official attendance will be around 10k. Actual attendance will probably be between 7 and 8. All things considered, that's not bad. But for a nationally televised game that few will see except for the highlights, it won't be great.

                  • If people aren't going to this game they better put their tickets on the market place or give them to someone. Koch Arena should be full for this game. No excuses!!

I agree. Around 75% full would be my guess also.

                            They want a full house.

I suppose we'll be there and take a half-day vacation the next morning, but much more than a half house would surprise me.

                              • I'm with you guys. I would say maybe 2/3 full. On a Monday night? There are definitely people that won't come to it. I would be highly disappointed if the student section isn't full for this, though. Unless they have a test at 8 the next morning, there is no reason for them to miss this.
