Last year it was September 4th, the year before that it was late September based off of a KAKE story from back then. You'll have much better luck going through each individual team on the schedule and trying to find date/times that way. If I remember right, we had a few people here who were able to piece together the whole schedule before ours was officially released.

I thought it was in July or august that it gets released. Oh well.

Usually that is just the conference schedule. Seems to always come out a couple weeks before the full schedule

        • Our schedule, as far as I know, isn't complete yet. It won't be released until that last game is signed.

That seems to me to be a very cumbersome means of distributing tickets.

When I was a student at a different school, students could purchase season tickets for, like, $20. Seating was first-come/first-served.

In the current age of barcodes, students could be asked to acquire tickets via Internet in the specified time period before each game and if the ticket was not scanned at the game (i.e., the student blew off the game), a fine could be established (e.g. the next request for a ticket would cost $10). That might be a way to assure that tickets acquired would actually have butts in the seats (or in the students case, butts in front of the seats).
The giant loophole here is what if somebody has a family emergency right before a game?

How many heart attacks does your mother have a year. At two, this would be $1 per game. I'd be more worried about your mother and sit always by her soda and watch on Cox

"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

How bad does your life have to suck that my hypothetical situation has caused you to feel you need to personally attack my mother from behind a keyboard?

                    • The answer and fix is simple, and unfortunately you only have to look northeast a couple of hours to see how to do it.

The students pay for a lot with fees, so I don't think they should be charged again. But, 1 ticket per student. Then all they have to do is show up 15 minutes before the game. At 14:59, any unscanned ticket is voided and becomes for sale at the ticket office. If you're a student and you are running late, you go to ticket office, and in a line only for students, you get another ticket, assuming they are still available. That's it. If you're a student, your responsibility is to be on time. If you're going to be late, take your chances or buy a ticket, your choice.

In today's world of bar coding, this is simple. I'm frustrated something like this hasn't been employed yet. When the product is as good as it is right now, it shouldn't take this long to insure that every seat is used.

Edit: Nevermind, I understand what you mean now. I think that makes a lot of sense.

As a current student (going into my senior year), I've been to the games a few hours early every time to get good seats. However, this semester, I'll be at class until 7 PM every night, because that's the only time that some classes are offered. I'll still be rushing to games immediately after class, but I wouldn't like the feeling of being punished for not being able to choose when professors have their classes.

                          • Shockfan brought up the same thought I had. In general I like trying to find an idea that helps tickets get used, but there are always going to be unintended negative consequences to some of the best student fans out there. I guess in some ways I'd rather see a few empty seats than punish those in situations that they can't control.

I have a job and sometimes I work until 7 or later because that's what is required. I then have to DVR the game. It's not punishment, it's life.

I completely understand having to miss games due to life, I've missed plenty of games due to more important priorities (i.e. church), but if a system is to be set up, and I agree that something should be done cause those seats should definitely be filled, I would hope it would allow certain exceptions.
