You have the 7 mentioned + 2 from the CBE. Then don't we have two games at home from lesser quality CBE opponents? That makes 11 then the one opening.
If you play in an Exempt Tournament, you can scedule 27 games outside of that. That's where his math begins. 27 games - 18 MVC games = 9 noncon games to schedule.

I too thought we were down to one game and could have sworn I'd read that in the Eagle. So either the Doc is missing a game I can't think of either, or we have two left to schedule.

    • Is Charleston Southern on the schedule again?

Home: Charleston Southern, Western Kentucky, Oral Roberts, Buffalo/CBE1, CBE2, Davidson, Tennessee (Intrust)

        Road: Tulsa

Neutral: 2 game combo BYU, DePaul, Texas (Kansas City)

Paul says 3 games are yet to be decided, but we don't know his starting point of reference. My list is 10, leaving 3 more openings, if my math is correct.

Still expecting a new major H/H if we can work out the scheduling issue apparently. Based on this article here I will be EXTREMELY disappointed if Doug Elgin can't make that come to fruition. If he comes through, that leaves 1 spot left, one would have to assume for a road game, no?

My (somewhat wild) assumptions would mean (adding 1 exhibition) a season ticket package of 17 home games, 1 Intrust game, 1 EASILY attended road game, 3 EASILY attended neutral court games and 1 yet to be named road tilt, ostensibly a big time match up.

To me at least, if all that ends up as fact (and I'll admit it's less than 50/50 at this point at least) then it's the best schedule I can remember and there is ample opportunity for the most frugal WSU fan to attend and SUPPORT multiple Shocker games.

Tulsa, Alabama, St. Louis, Davidson, ORU, Tennessee, Western Kentucky. That's 7. There are 2 left. Everyone says 1. Which game am I missing?

That would appear to be the case.

Ahh that's right. I forgot about the whole Exempt deal. That makes things way too over complicated. Sometimes rules just need to be simpler

Are there two CBI home games against cupcakes yet to be scheduled? I thought the four teams playing in KC were "host" teams that also played two at home as part of tourney.

Buffalo is one of the 2. The other so far is unnamed.

Part of why the CBE is already on a pretty short leash with me.

Buffalo is okay aren't they? At least they are in the MAC. And they have great wings.

Buffalo is probably the best game we've ever gotten under these circumstances.

                        • Maybe the Shocks could get a game with GT? Atlanta's a good hub for southern recruiting.

Be nice to Trae, GoShockers. I think he actually tried to get into Emory but they wouldn't take him, so he settled for Tech instead.

I haven't heard a peep, the past three years the game has been on Tuesday, Sunday and last year Saturday.

IF the game is to take place on a Saturday which is a total guess, by process of elimination the only two Saturday's that would work would be November 16th and December 14th.

                              • Any predictions on attendance for the WSU-Tennessee matchup at IBA? I hate the fact K-State has fared better with attendance in Wichita than the Shox. Depending upon date and budget, I just might catch a flight back home to see that game in person.
