      That's what I had read.

The Texas A&M series that fell through was supposed to be the one that was going to start in Wichita. We then picked up Alabama in the aftermath and were willing to be flexible on where to start the series.

If anyone has heard it's a different opponent, please share.
This is accurate. A&M would have started in Wichita but dates couldn't be worked out. Still hope for future years there. Alabama there then here. SLU there then here although that could change.

        • I know I am the only one, but I don't get excited about SLU at all. I'll show up and cheer my arse off, but it's not a game I mark on my calendar and go, "mmm mmm can't wait!" If they can keep their momentum going, it'll work out nicely for us, but I am just not sure they can.

          • Having just moved to St Louis in the last month, I really hope the SLU series happens and starts in STL, so that I don't have to drive hours for at least one regular season game. If any of you can get in contact with HCGM, please pass my wishes along. :tongue-new:

              • Midnight is obviously far from ideal, but if turns out to be the case I hope people embrace it and have some fun.

Actually, I think that midnight is a good time slot. Remember that this is 24 hours of basketball, so you can have games being played at 4:00 am. Midnight means that there will be people up late still watching on TV, and while it makes for a late night, I would rather be in the slot where the game is ending at 2:00 am vs starting then.

The 2 AM slot always goes to a west coast team so I don't think we were in danger of that. Mornings usually go to schools that get around 500 fans a game anyways. Midnight is obviously not worst case scenario but it's one of the worst we could have "realistically" gotten. Knowing our fan base 5 AM would probably be preferable to Midnight.

                    • 11:00 central? That's nothing.

We had like 3,000 at Eck Stadium a couple years ago for a Valley Tournament game that started right around 12.

                      • I seem to remember someone from WSU, I think it was Boatright, stating that for that game we would accept a crazy time, but not a ridiculous time or something to that effect. A midnight start time does appear to meet that criteria.

Well, at least for me, I would far prefer a midnight game to a 5 am game, but I am definitely a night person. From an exposure standpoint, I think midnight is a good slot. Far more likely that people will be watching this game on TV around the country than many of the time slots.

                          • Count me in the 5am preferred time slot. I doubt my girls will make it to an 11pm game.

Maybe that's not the worst thing....I could always donate my tickets to another worthy athletic department.

                            • Stay up late or get up early. Im guessing its easier to stsy up late, especially in a Friday or Saturday. Im okay getting up early, but find my day gets jet-laggyish more ob that end. Especially getting up at 3 or 4.

                              • I see 1-2 AM routinely. Couldn't tell you the last time I saw a 5 AM. I think the late night game could get a decidedly younger crowd. Would be interesting.
