Here was the meltdown I witnessed. After the TV Announcers went 4-0 against us before the game, they were blaming Pitino (a great Coach) at halftime. We woke up some people that were playing the 'blame game' at halftime as we were upsetting the apple-cart.

The Cardinals are prolly going to win this here Dance and they looked quite worried and frustrated so much of this game. Don't blame that on their great Coach. Credit our great Coach and our team of 'All Americans in the Heart and Effort Department'!!! All of our beloved players played tonight and they all left it all on the floor and did their very best. I could not be more proud of our beloved Shockers!!!
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

With that loss Joe Lunardi put us as one of the first four out in his bracket this year.

SASO payment April and ticket renewal in May/June. I always look forward to renewal and in spite of the poorly handled increase coupled with the loss of parking, these two checks are going to be sweet. Savor the moment and let's help Coach Marshall and crew return next season.

It is good to be a Shocker.

            Go Shocks!

The guards just weren't good; they get anything from MA and it's a 10 point win.
Our guards played better against Louisville than anyone has in the tourney. If they had an off night, credit goes to Louisville. BTW, Louisville's guards didn't have their normal games either. It took guys off the bench having career games to pull this one out of the fire.

I AM MELTING DOWN WITH TREMENDOUS PRIDE TONIGHT.. THAT IS ALL..

I'm not going to screw around with my SASO payment this year. Here is something you can take to the bank: Season Tickets will be sold out next year.

Yea, well here's your melt down

                  They still should have won.

Ahead 47-35 under 10 and your opponent is in serious foul trouble, you should win the game.

Opportunities like this come along once in a life time.

If Armstead has a Drake like game they win. However, he had a Southern Illinois game and therefore they lose.

                  Proud of them?

                  Absolutely.

But the opportunity was there for the taking and it was missed.

                  That is all.
Above all, make the right call.

Actually, SR, I just checked the play-by-play; and it was 47-35 not "under 10," but with 13:15 left, just before the Airball Heard Round the Basketball World. That 3 1/2 minutes you just let slip was pretty big. WSU's biggest lead under 10 minutes was actually only six.

And it's certainly possible this may have been a once in a lifetime chance. But it was just a couple of years ago that Butler played in a "once in a lifetime" championship game TWO years in a row. And, to switch sports for a second, WSU's last NCAA championship came a year after the 1988 baseball Shocks blew a "once in a lifetime" chance to get the last out against Arizona State and go to the CWS finals. Who knows how it will go next year, but this team has plenty of the right pieces returning to make some more such history.

Just too much 'I'M satisfied' on here for me.

Yes, they played their hearts out. But I bet if you ask them "Are you satisfied just getting close to beating Louisville?" none will answer yes.

Winners laugh and tell jokes. Losers say shut up and deal.

They had one heck of a season. But losing a game they all knew they should have won is no reason to pat each other on the back and say "nice try."

                        That's bullshit.

@ShockRef: I think Louisville had a lot to do with Armstead having a tough night. I thinkbwe got beat tonight as opposed to losing. The best team in the country clawed back into a game they were close to getting blown out. Tip of the cap to Louisville. What a great season for the Shockers. All the guys with limited minutes hanging together.leads me to believe they knew they were part of something special. They are. Big ups.

WSU, you are correct both about the time and the air ball heard 'round the world.

We didn't give anything away, Louisville won it with clutch perimeter bombs and free throw shooting down the stretch. They may be the only team in the country able to make that comeback.

So proud of this team, unbelievable season. And things are looking up, up, and up in the future.
