Here is some food for thought. The Valley fans were recently getting very irratated with us. Now there is a hush on the negative, and a rush to the banks for each Valley School to cash in our our success. Next, we were Not supposed to beat the number 1 and 2 seeds and the masses were Shocked. Our Shockers have been given a chance that many dream of and few ever even come close to. As usual, as the days go by, our Team quietly prepares, ignore the critics, are not satisfied, are not the least bit intimidated, and will play angry, knowing they can Shock the world still again. Just know that we will leave it all on the floor and hold nothing back and let the chips fall where they may. We will do our talking with our game on the hardwood.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

    • Im ready for this game to start. This week is even longer than last week!

My only prediction is that GM will have the troops ready to fight, and that there will be no hesitation.

Go Shox! Finish the deal. You belong.

I have never had such butterflies in my tummy as in this Dance as a fan. 3G has indeed had by far his very best Coaching job for us this very Season. He has complimented how his Assistants have really done solid work on the scouting reports. Notice how he has turned to a couple of Freshmen guards and a 'defensive lock down drag out' Soph. for more minutes with cool results? Makes our future warm us up like a tanning bed, knowing the invaluable experience all of our returning players will now have at such a huge level. And we have done is with Shocking success and now we have all kinds of attention beaming our way.

However, just like the Russian hockey team that got the huge share of attention, so will Louisville. The masses will believe in them. Even so, how can you measure the hearts of a WSU team that faced more adversity than any team ever dreamed of, but yet kept clawing, scratching, and searching for a way to this here Final 4?

Throw out the window the opinions, seedings, and Vegas spreads, because none of those factors have not stopped us yet. We just have to beat this very good Cardinal team 1 stinkin time. Deep down, on a given Saturday, our Shockers could continue to be a team of destiny, and plan to make Mission Impossible in the critics eyes, Possible on the hardwood, by not being satisfied, but as prepared as Santa on Christmas Eve, and play as angry as MTXE road road warriors on a given Saturday of black and yellow Marshall Plan execution!!!!!!!

        • The key to this game is how the Shox react to the run(s) the 'Ville will make. OSU and Gonzaga both made runs we were able to weather. Whether Louisville gets out early, in a tie game goes out and scores 7 unanswered points or comes back from a deficit, it is going to happen. They are too good of a team.

The Shox really only had to worry about a couple of guys on each team. Olynyk and Pangos, Thomas and Ross, but Louisville has four guys who can go off. The mental fortitude and heart will make or break us. I saw Duke give up in the second half when Louisville went off, we can't for a second even let the thought of cashing it in enter our mind.

It's very much a cliche' but is very appropriate here, "it's not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog".

          • Hi guys.

Another Cards fan here, but I have family from Kansas and my grandma/aunt live in Wichita. In fact, the only other college team apparel I own besides U of L gear is a WS shirt. I'm sad we have to play so early on (I was hoping for the NC game) but I hope it's a great game nonetheless.

If you guys want to go to a Cards site that has basketball updates ALL the time, check out cardchronicle.com. A great bunch of people who love basketball, and aren't underestimating the Shockers.

            Good game on Saturday!

No doubt the Cards have several players that can go off on you, but so do most teams in the Dance. Smith has been dominate! He averages almost 9 ppg higher than #2 on their roster. He's averaged 26 ppg in the Dance for a total of 1/3 of their points. He gets his points from inside the arc and the line. Smith's only been 6-19 from 3, but is 32-40 from the line and has 27 buckets from 2.

From stats, their player points look much like Ohio St: 19.8, 10.0, 9.2, 8.3, 7.8 Louisville: 18.9, 10.2, 9.8, 9.6, 7.8. The Cards seem to be a team of specialists (not saying those players are one dimensional). Smith the big scorer, Siva the assist guy, Dieng and Behanan rebounds (43% of the total), and Hancock the outside sniper.

The phrase may be cliche', but as for the Shocks, it's right on target. Here's another important phrase for our Shocks: "Don't give up, don't ever give up."

I resent that. The Big East team on steroids is Syracuse.

                          • Always amazes me how teams that press, usually hate being pressed them selves. Looking forward to a great game. Can WSU make the adjustments to attack and yet still defend the birds. see this game going down as a 2 point game until the final 2 minutes. The i hope and believe WSU will win by 6 if they make the ft.

The good news is they're actually calling us Wichita State. The guy presenting the regional trophy presented it to "the Wichita Shockers."

Also, did anyone notice that the scissors Gregg initially was given were exchanged for scissors with a yellow handle before we cut the net?

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."
