All 3 NIT games tonight are on national TV. Espn2 has the Iowa-Virginia game at 6 pm followed by the Providence-Baylor game at 8 pm. The other NIT game tonight, BYU- Southern Miss is on espnU tonight at 7 pm.

I am planning on watching the Iowa game and then the last half of the Southern Miss game.

lets not let our NCAA run get us big headed...we won the NIT a couple years ago...i can name several teams...some we played this year... South Miss, Iowa, Baylor, Maryland, Providence, Alabama, Indiana State, and many many other good teams that didnt get an invite to the Big Dance...La Salle was literally almost not even invited to this years tourny...so back to my point, the NIT is a good consolation prize and winning it does give satisfaction to a team that gets snubbed.

Actually I remember reading somewhere that this years first night of NIT games (the night when Robert Morris beat Kentucky) actually drew better TV ratings than the same night of round 1 ncaa games.

I know that is highly unusual and I am sure that every night since then the ncaa games have probably trounced the NIT games. I enjoy watching some NIT games just because they are usually on different nights (the first round being the exception) than the ncaa games and I can keep getting a college basketball fix as I wait for the next round of ncaa games.

It's not like NIT games are up against NCAA games. They play on off-nights from the tourney. I watched the Maryland/Alabama game last night, and was happy to see Turgeon win.

I've enjoyed watching Southern Miss play...those kids are tough. We were lucky to be them. Of course we were without Hall, Wessel, Baker, White and Ehimen could barely walk, but still, we were lucky.

Yea, I know they lost to Iowa, but if you watched the game you would know they did not actually show up and play the game. They looked terrible and uninterested.

So, does Iowa beating Virginia help our RPI?

I'm watching this Southern Miss vs BYU and it looks like they are playing in the old Henry Levitt Arena. Did Southern Miss copy it?

I enjoy peeking in on these games on these off nights, but then again, college hoops are one of the few sports on TV that I will literally watch just about anyone play. I would like to Southern Miss win it this year!

Hate Iowaaaaays arrogant fans. Not to fond of their coach. But our Shocks beat em, so that's a who I'm a pullin fur.

Iowa and Maryland playing right now in NIT semi-final. Iowa has pretty much dominated so far, but Maryland is making a little run right now and have cut it to 61-54 with 4:28 left in the game. The game is on espn 2.
