So much for Mark Turgeon. I was cheering for him, but he has still yet to get Maryland to the level of Wichita State two seasons ago. Better performance than we had three seasons ago, at least?

Mark Turgeon was my first chapter in Wichita State Basketball... he helped bring the program back from from a long dull 2 decade fallout...Marshall jumped on the fan, financial and freedom to build the program back up the way he wants to build it back, and now we are in the position we are today...cant expect this every year, but feels damn good to know that is it doable and doable in a year with a lot of new faces that have never played together for multiple years. If you went through Cohen, Thompson and Smithson, you got love for Turge. Despite the fact that his face appears to be made of some sort of plasticized putty. Worked out best for all parties.

Turgeon was the right man for the job at the time just as Marshall is now.

Turgeon will get Maryland back to the dance and they will be competitive in the B1G.

I tuned into the game for maybe 10 minutes and was surprised to see that Maryland played a lot of zone in that time given how rare it was during MT's tenure here.

Turg will be fine at MD ... already got some good talent over there. When he started cupboard was pretty bare. He BARELY missed out on the Harrison twins that committed to UK, if he won that recuiting battle ... they'd have a legit shot next yr to make some noise.

Hey, lay off MT. I just read that he is thrilled for the Shocker's success. In return I'm thrilled for him to have the chance to get up to the Shocker's level of two years ago.

I'm not sure if we're the better job. Maryland has been to two final fours. How many has WSU been to? Oh, wait, never mind.

Schools with two Final Fours include – DePaul, Georgia Tech, Bradley, Butler, Maryland, Providence, Purdue, Temple, St. John’s, Virginia, Stanford, West Virginia

WTH? He played zone all of 2 minutes in his tenure here. He must have grown as a coach.

Wait ... does Gregg Marshall make more money than Turgeon?

I think Turgeon makes $1.6 million at Maryland.

Man, six years later we're in the Final Four while he's in the NIT, AND we're paying our HC more than him. Bet he didn't see that one coming.

MT is a definite 'jumper'. He's had ants in his pants from day one. Loved him at WSU and really thought it was a mistake to leave here for A&M... I mean, A&M? smh
