      So did we fill it?

We just get horrible regional placements. D.C. in 06, L.A. in 13.

      Dallas would have been something...
      Deuces Valley.
      ... No really, deuces.

        I'll check.

But if we were playing in Dallas, the entire city would be down there.

Just one charter plane for Shocker fans to go to Los Angeles
Although there was strong interest in a second charter plane for Shocker fans to travel to Los Angeles to cheer on the Wichita State University men’s basketball team in the Sweet 16, the minimum number of travelers was not reached by Monday afternoon’s deadline.

There were only around 40 people signed up for the 2nd plane. It was nice to see that the alumni association tried to get as many as possible.

Hey I pillaged my retirement for this deal. Now I'm going to have to die six months earlier.

If we make the final 4. Add another couple of years for that...

I’ve been to New Orleans, Maui, New York and several other destinations. Win or lose, you can’t put a ‘price’ on the satisfaction you’ll receive making the trip to LA and the NCAA tournament.

Additionally, nothing in life is guaranteed and you sometimes have to capture the moment. No one knows if this is a ‘once in a lifetime’ opportunity or the first of a long string of NCAA tournament appearances? I highly recommend seizing the opportunity and finding a way to get to LA to cheer on the Shockers; use your ‘big thumb’, travel by plane, train, bus, rent an RV, or take your family truckster. Sure, there are always good reasons to stay at home and save the money, however when will you get this opportunity again?

Wishing safe travels to all Shocker fans… hope to see you all in Charles Koch Arena next Sunday afternoon celebrating a couple of victories and an upcoming trip to the Final Four. Remember, “hope is a good thing.”
