If I weren't married, I would take vacation, hop in my car ad take old Route 66 out to the game. I guarantee I could come in well under $2,000 by a long shot.

The whole getting it past my wife is the issue... :/

          I'm a weak man

She isn't into basketball and kind of thinks I'm lame for loving it so much. We actually went through a time when me never missing a game was a 'problem' :)

I have partially won the battle to the point where she now comes with me sometimes but I'm probably still a few years away before I will have her dying to never miss a moment. Still working on a St. Louis trip. Came really close this year.

Rest assured, I will make a hardcore fan out of her. Honestly, the gonzaga game was the first time I saw her get a little fired up.

Not only is this team making an incredible run, they are also the team that might go down in my history as the team that made my wife care. Believe me, that is worth gold to me :)

Oh what it would be like to be rich and could afford such a trip.

Can anybody confirm if they will be flying home after the game Saturday night, instead of coming home on Easter (Sunday)?

Unfortunately, I won’t be traveling to LA with the Shockers. I’ve traveled with them several times during the past 35+ years and I’ve never regretted making a trip. I’ve been to New Orleans, Maui, New York and several other destinations. Win or lose, you can’t put a ‘price’ on the satisfaction you’ll receive making the trip to LA and the NCAA tournament.

Additionally, nothing in life is guaranteed and you sometimes have to capture the moment. No one knows if this is a ‘once in a lifetime’ opportunity or the first of a long string of NCAA tournament appearances? I highly recommend seizing the opportunity and finding a way to get to LA to cheer on the Shockers; use your ‘big thumb’, travel by plane, train, bus, rent an RV, or take your family truckster. Sure, there are always good reasons to stay at home and save the money, however when will you get this opportunity again?

Wishing safe travels to all Shocker fans… hope to see you all in Charles Koch Arena next Sunday afternoon celebrating a couple of victories and an upcoming trip to the Final Four. Remember, “hope is a good thing.”
