Actually a much better version of SIU, who gave us fits.

I think we learned a lot from those games.

LaSalle is not going to be easy. They've certainly proved they belong in the tourney. My only concern is that they are so damn fast. I hope we don't get a lot of ticky tack touch fouls called against us in our attempts to check their speed.

It will be our size advantage and better D, versus their speed and athleticism. They also pretty much go 6 deep, we on the other hand go a little deeper which helps us out as well.

By the way, is it possible for us to continue to use the black jerseys? We wore black during our NIT run, this run and I just love the way they look. As the higher seeded team, do we have the choice?

Hesitant to say it but Evansville is the Valley team that seems similar in my mind.
Shocker fan for life after witnessing my first game in person, the 80-74 win over the #12 Creighton Bluejays at the Kansas Coliseum.

Nope. Whites or grays. Players will choose. Marshall said this at the CKA event today.

Nobody in the valley has that much speed and quickness.

                  SIU runs the same offense....sometimes.

Not as athletic, talented or good. But those games will help us prepare trust me.

I'm so happy to see the Henderson Obsession Fest come to an end.

I think it will be a game in the 70s with us wearing La Salle down in the second half. I think our Bigs need to take advantage of our size and get some easy ones and attack the glass. I said before the Gonzaga game we were due to go off from behind the arc and we did thank God. We dont need to depend so much on that against La Salle, I really think our constant pressure and deep bench will lead us to the elite 8. This is so much fun, and knowing that Marshall has his best recruiting class coming in next year. This could become habit forming....

At this point every team we face will present challenges. The good news is neither Ole Miss or La Salle played with the defensive intensity that we've grown accustomed to. La Salle kind of reminds me of VCU on the offensive end with their quick guards (and without the havoc d). If we play our game I like our chances.

I did notice LaSalle is rather atrocious at rebounding. Hall may have a field day.

Not sure that I would call next year's class the best, but we do have some solid freshmen coming in, especially Shaq.
