PJ Couisnard's fadeaway 3 against Tennesee with the shot clock winding down put us up 70 to 65.

Fred Van Vleet's amazing 3 with the shot clock winding down also put us up 70 to 65.

I was thinking the same thing.

UNI had something very similar I think...that shot Farokmanesh hit against UNLV couple years ago to effectively win the game was nearly identical to the game winning shot in their last (only) NCAA tourney win against Iowa(?) prior to the sweet 16 run. Weird indeed.

I think this crap about the west being weak and the Zags not deserving of a #1 is a bunch of BS. Gonzaga had a great team and from what I saw they lost with class. Pitt #17 also had a VERY good team. What the so called experts don't understand is how a very good defensive team can disrupt a good teams offense. Just ask anybody who has played VCU. Our D disrupted the offensive continuity of both teams and our three point shooters finally showed up late. We missed a lot of threes in both games before the percentages finally caught up just at the right time, BUT DON't take anything away from either team we beat. They were both very strong opponents that our TEAM D had an impact on.

Here's a stretch argument. If we are in the sweet 16 because our bracket was made badly then we should have been a 1,2,3 or 4 seed. Not that gonzaga should have been a 2 or 3 seed.

We just beat them. And I'm not saying we were user seeded because we really were higher than we even expected. My point is that this apologizing for the zags is bogus because the argument was never that they were lower than a 2. People only said they maybe weren't a 1 which I completely disagree with. If they should have been a 2 in people's eyes, they shod still beat a 9. Give me a break people. The shockers won the game and gonzaga was a really good team. It isn't like they should have been a 12 ad we obviously were gonna win. Haha

It's not a poorly constructed bracket. We were gonna wreck ANY bracket. Oh ad I can't explain the other high seeds going down but I will sure take it.

Oh and it also means I'm definitely rooting for the blue jays now since duke was the "real" 1 seed as people have argued.

I'm looking forward to when 'the zags choked or were over seeded' stuff just turns into 'the shockers are the real deal'
