That was our response too. It is a basketball game, not church.

Dan Muller clearly belongs to the congregation of Coaches Who Can't Hold Gregg Marshall's Jockstrap, though.

HC3GM doesn't own a jock strap because they don't make one big enough.

Of course some churches stand and clap and make more noise than some arenas.

          • Survive and advance. Looked like it was going to be a real laugher but didn't work out that way. Good job getting reorganized and refocused at halftime.

Carl was very good again. But Tekele was simply magnificent shadowing Tyler Brown and essentially taking him out of the game. I guarantee you Tekele can tell you what flavor chewing gum Mr. Brown uses. Simply an outstanding effort by a guy not good enough to be on the all-defensive team. But as Coach Marshall said in his post game comments selection to the all-defensive team is all about stats for steals and blocked shots. Doesn't have much to do really with getting down and dirty and playing tough, no quarter given, nasty make-your-opponent-cry defense.

Now I think we can comfortably say we will be dancing. But first things first. Let's see who the best team in the Valley really is. Arch Madness indeed.

                • I hope the Redturd fans and Classy Jackie enjoyed that BEATDOWN.

Shocks looked like crap against the zone in the first half but adjusted, tightened up on D, and laid the law down in the 2nd. Cotton was impressive on Brown. Baker and FVV make our future look BRIGHT. Carl was a BEAST, AGAIN.

And Jackie gets to cry all the way back to Not Normal. That fanbase deserves to feel pain. KARMA IS A B*TCH!

Ecstatic about a chance to send sCUm out of here in style. We're playing on house money, boys! Let's do this!

Fun anecdote- I sat with friends in a block of about 10 Shocker fans in a lower-bowl Bluejay section. The area was split roughly as follows: 40% WSU fans, 40% Creighton, 20% ISUr. WSU has a tradition where its fans "Stand for Defense" at the start of every game- we stay on our feet and clap until the opponent scores a field goal. Sometimes that is 10 seconds, sometimes a couple minutes.

Well, today it was an eternity (the 8:30 mark in the first half). At around the 18:00 minute mark, the ISUr fans five rows back grew testy and started screaming at us to "go to our own section and sit the hell down." This was repeated by two elderly morons about 6 different times. After time #5, I turned around and told them to score the damn ball and we'd be happy to sit.

The poor Redbird fans reported us to the ushers at the 16:00 mark, who came and made us sit down. In retrospect it was good fortune because my hands would have been completely exhausted by the 8:30 mark when ISUr's putrid offense finally lucked into a bucket. The Creighton fans nearby thought the Redbird fans in that section were laughably retarded for reporting us to big brother.

Eff those delta bravos. I look forward to pissing on their program's grave as Muller drags them under over the next three years.
There were some Redbird fans in our Shocker section. One of them tried to get @RussDaBus: to sit down even though the entire section was standing. The other Redbird fans were nice though.

                    • 3 major sports go to 4-0 on the day. Boys got it done at the Lou. Lady Shocks get their first ever Valley title and No.1 seed with a win over SWOMO today. And the baseball team at least got a sweep today.

It's a great DAY to be a Shocker! Can be an even better day tomorrow! Go Shocks!

                      • 3G also said Carl is playing with a sore toe. Or at least it seems sore until Carl sees a shot going up, then it doesn't look like it's bothering him much.

Absolutely. His defensive performance was amazing.

I hate considering the future when our seniors still have a chance to do a lot this year ... but man the future is looking good. So many excellent underclassmen.
