  • Shocks had 45 rebounds in the game. Highest total of the season.

Only broke 40 six times this season, and most of those were over bottom feeders ... North Carolina Central, Charleston, Drake, Miss State. Second time over Illinois State, though.

We're up to 84 rebounds so far this tournament. Good sign coming up against a good rebounding Creighton team, who had 66 rebounds in the first two games.

I agree but we all know how coach is. You get what you get with him

After our last game against them, and the game last tournament, there are clearly major issues between our programs. And most of those come down to borderline assaults against our players.

Marshall wears his emotions on his sleeve. I have no problem at all with him refusing to pretend like he has any respect for them.

              • I don't make ANY posts during the game but here is my post game. I am an old guy who
paid 25 cents for a general admission ticket when the roundhouse opened. Was in college
there when Stallworth was the man. Today a new player made my top five favorite all
time WSU players.......way to go Carl. You've joined Dave, Jamie Thompson, Bill Lang, and
the XMAN as MY all time five favorites. I know you younger folks are saying Lang? Well,
I base MY five on what they gave and Carl gives it.

As for the game today. Great game Carl. Great game MA. Now Dw's numbers were not that
impressive but when he is playing D along with MA and TC we are tough. I like DEFENSE and
I thought DW played good D today. Orupe and JW played good D also. Defense won the game.
Remember that tomorrow and at the dance. BTW, I predicted a 17 point win and that was
                before the pint of Makers.

                • I get my stats from ESPN. After I printed the game stats, I looked them over. My eyes popped out. Bigger than you please was Derail Green's name for 1 minute. I missed a few minutes of the game and I though Green might have entered the game and I did not know about it.

You don't want to know what I said.

About 5 minutes later, ESPN corrected the error and entered Nick Wiggins' name for 1 minute.

                  • Coaches halftime adjustment, and the players' willingness to execute on it, were excellent. Not that it was a hard thing to figure out, but kudos for getting it done.

                    • I shared this on MVCFans but thought it was cute so I'll repost here.

Fun anecdote- I sat with friends in a block of about 10 Shocker fans in a lower-bowl Bluejay section. The area was split roughly as follows: 40% WSU fans, 40% Creighton, 20% ISUr. WSU has a tradition where its fans "Stand for Defense" at the start of every game- we stay on our feet and clap until the opponent scores a field goal. Sometimes that is 10 seconds, sometimes a couple minutes.

Well, today it was an eternity (the 8:30 mark in the first half). At around the 18:00 minute mark, the ISUr fans five rows back grew testy and started screaming at us to "go to our own section and sit the hell down." This was repeated by two elderly morons about 6 different times. After time #5, I turned around and told them to score the damn ball and we'd be happy to sit.

The poor Redbird fans reported us to the ushers at the 16:00 mark, who came and made us sit down. In retrospect it was good fortune because my hands would have been completely exhausted by the 8:30 mark when ISUr's putrid offense finally lucked into a bucket. The Creighton fans nearby thought the Redbird fans in that section were laughably retarded for reporting us to big brother.

Eff those delta bravos. I look forward to pissing on their program's grave as Muller drags them under over the next three years.

                      • Well, just finished my 8 1/2 hour drive from Austin and lo-and-behold, I come on here to see a victory? I thought the game was at 7. Other than seeing the fam, this just tops the cake!

Seriously, the ushers made you sit? That is BS, show me somewhere in the stadium's rules that doesn't allow a fan to stand up and cheer for their team.
Shocker fan for life after witnessing my first game in person, the 80-74 win over the #12 Creighton Bluejays at the Kansas Coliseum.

That was my first thought too, how can they possibly make someone sit at a game?
