  • Little Known Facts About Our Shockers

In the last 12 games, Fred is 8/14 from the three line.

In the previous 6 games, Fred was 2/9.

He keeps getting better and better.

I encourage others to post little known facts or information, which is seldom published.

Yesterday, Ron Baker took his first drink of water, on the bench, during a game, since December 13, 2012.

Check that. In the last 13 games, Fred is 10/16 from the 3 line.

According to my Aggie arithmetic, that is 62.5%.

I started the afternoon with Ketel One on the rocks, then had two Pacificos, and finished with a Great Divide Titan IPA...and I graduated from WSU in 2005. Oh, and tonight we beat ISU-Red for the third time in as many meetings. Hollerrrrrrr....

With a win tomorrow, 3G will be 5-2 versus the McDemotts which may be well known sooner than later. It would be such an endearing enorsement for them to always remember us by. Buh-bye. Not100% sure but think this is correct. If not, we need to know the facts.

Gregg Marshall will tie a record for WSU coaches with his 2nd NCAA appearance this year.

No Shocker coach has ever appeared in 3 NCAA tournaments. That changes next season.

Comparison with 2005/2006 at this point in the season:

2006: 9-4 over their last 13 games (some other poster mentioned our current record over the last 13 games).
                    2013: 7-6 over their last 13 games

                    2006: 7-3 over their last 10 games.

2006 TOTAL season compared with current 2013 (I got too lazy to subtract the last 3 games of 2006)

In his first 21 games this year Tekele was 3 for 23 (13.0%) on three-pointers.

In his last 13 games Tekele was 15 of 31 (48.4%) on three-pointers.

I knew Tekele was better than a 13.0% trey shooter, but that is a turn around I was not expecting, would never have predicted and have never been happier to see especially since it involves a player who gives so much energy and effort.

The most points scored in a game by WSU was 125 vesus Drake on 2/15/1979 as noted in the 2007-08 Shocker Basketball Guide. We must have been collectively on fire that night. The reason I chose this tidbit was because I really enjoyed the Offensive showing versus Detroit this Season and hope we score 100 some time next Season in a game. I doubt the 3 point rule was in session back in 1979. Next Season, we appear to have more shooters and scorers incoming and our returning cast will be improving their skills this summer.
