Cotton was the best MVC 3pt shooter for the month of February. He did it by working hard in the gym.

Marshall doesn't teach his players to flop. Not part of his DNA. His team probably get penalized by being big and tough and not weak (floppers).

And by rusty he means ready to light up St. Louis.

My God that may be the most awesomest quote in the history of the Valley.

When coach Marshall mentioned Cotton's 3-pt shooting, it seemed he was speaking directly to some here on SN who wanted Cotton to stop shooting 3's because he was shooting them so badly. That shows what hard work in the gym can do.

I hope Vanilla Thunder has been working on his 3pt shot and Marshall turns him loose in STL.

So far White's 3-pt shooting in practice hasn't translated to 3-pt shooting in game situations. While he can make them in practice, he has to move in a couple of feet or so to make the shot in games. Maybe he needs to practice at making NBA 3-pointers. Then it will be natural for him to move in a little to the college 3-pt line.

                        And that Marshall reads Shockernet.

That was the best thing I heard all night. Right on the $$, Coach!

I'm glad Cotton has been hot lately, but overall, he still isn't Hot Hand Sally. If he stays with that touch, I wouldn't mind seeing the shots. He is getting wide open looks because defenses are still sagging on him. But if he continues to knock them down at the clip he's on, go for it. My beef was the notion of Cotton chucking up 3's when it was apparent they weren't gonna fall on a given night. We don't play Suburban HORSE.

I felt like I was in the middle of an Algebra class, with a 1st grader trying to teach it.

Guessing we aren't going anywhere is a pretty good guess. But Marshall is never going to talk about going somewhere else until it is signed, sealed and delivered. As forthright as HCGM is, he surely recognizes that talking about hypothetically leaving is very bad politics.
