The lumberjacks, Sillynois, all of the also-rans in the MVC will play their best games against you. On the one hand, it will make winning conference championships that much tougher. Awesome post, and feel free to post here anytime. I love Gregg's us against the world mentality, its what makes him so great.

He was just a section over from where we sit. I remember it well. The crowd was really upset and the calls were bad. But when he threw that bottle the crowd immediately let out a gasp and you could see everyone turn in his direction. It was not appreciated that's for sure. If my memory serves me right some one near him had to point him out when they came to find the thrower.

I believe this all started last month when Ils was here. I watched GM and Ford before the game, after the anthem the teams walked together and all the coaches shook hands...except Dana, he hid behind the coaches and was the first to head to the bench. GM shook all the hands and then looked for Dana, he got his attention and pointed at him. Thought this was interesting and waited for the post game hand shake, Dana could not hide...GM shook his hand and said something to him. Dana looked like a scared school kid, he showed a total lack of professionalism by avoiding GM before the game.
Maybe I am weird but I have always watched the post game shakes, always find it funny how they can just about kill each other then hug. I have never seen GM or any of his staff avoid a handshake in Koch arena, if it happened somewhere else I would love some details instead of just rumors.

Screw ISU red and their crybaby fans and coaches. They act like my three year old son who just got his toy taken away from him by his older sister. Happy one moment and bent out of shape the next just like when we took away victory just as it was in their grasps.

They want everyone to act and behave like choir boys. Eff em'. It was an important game for both sides and it was played with a lot of emotion, when emotion gets involved, things happen. In this case, I have not seen or read anything where I felt something went over the top.

Damn I dislike hyper sensitive people.

That guy was severely punished. BANNED from ALL WSU contests for a year. If seen at any event, that changed to a lifetime ban. No refunds on any tickets already purchased.

most objective comments there say it was clearly intentional- which it was. funny, some posters here saw non-intentional contact. oh, well.. onward and upward for the shockers.

Interesting. I disagree with you on a couple of things but that is neither here nor there.

What I take umbrage with is your assertion about High Point particularly when you are comparing Winthrop U to it. Uh...I don't know how to say this but HPU is a really great school. One of the best in the South. Look no further than the U.S. News Rankings. Winthrop is decent academically but certainly no High Point. And HPU seems to always have the reigning Miss North Carolina on campus so that helps the scenary.

Gregg was not well regarded in the Big South at the end. We can agree on that point.

Being well-regarded is not the same thing as being well-liked. My guess is Greg was highly-regarded but perhaps not especially well-liked. I don't see any great out-pouring of collegiality among Vallley coaches either, although I think most hold each other in pretty high-regard in terms of coaching ability.

Yes, she sang the anthem and she also worked for the marketing department as the game producer. That's why she sat there - next to Don Hall.
"If you're going to do it, you're going to do it right," athletic director Jim Schaus said. "If we're going to put 'Wichita State' across our chest, then every team is going to matter."

Ha. That made me chuckle. For starters, I never compared HPU to WU. Why would I do that on a WSU board? Who on here would even care? Secondly, HPU is a dumpster fire of a school. Have you ever been there? Have you laid eyes on the facilities? Are you aware that one semester the school had to cancel Sex Education classes and Driver's Education classes because the mule died? And finally, as for HCGM being well-regarded when he left...he won Big South Coach of the year 3 of his last 5 seasons at Winthrop...including his last season there, 2007. Going out on top is about as "well-regarded" as one can leave.
