Sure you do. The same way a lot of wsu fans come on here and call creighton fans arrogant sob's. Its the same damn thing. No fan base is complete without them. Look creighton is our biggest rival in basketball. Its a natural thing. Tex vs OU. KU vs Miz. Mich. vs OSU. Its just how it goes. We hate them and they inturn hate us. All due respect, Doc, but I have a little different view of the situation.
We can thank the behavior on ValleyTalk of fellow posters ISASO, ColdBlooded for much (not all, but a LARGE percentage) of the message board hate we get from opposing fans.
Nothing personal to ISASO and CB (I know neither of them personally), but what most MVC fans on the message boards see of WSU fans are those two. They pass up no opportunity to disrespect the teams and fanbases of other schools and make grand predictions and arrogant evaluations of all things WSU. And it creates the backlash we see in topics like the one on BlueJayCafe.
Whether the backlash is deserved or not isn't the point. It is what it is. And it's a lot of the reason I stepped down as a moderator at VT. Almost every problem over there involved one of our fans or someone else who had been prodded by one of our fans.
By no means am I excusing those CU fans for their classless remarks (and they are classless). If they were really as smart as they think they are, they would put the actions of people on a message board in perspective (every team has their share of annoying fans). But it's important to understand exactly why fans of other MVC schools seem to dislike us so much, at least on the internet.

Gee, I thought they wanted to beat us every time we meet in every sport because we're chasing after the same ring all the time. I will change my style now that I know they really want to love us and only want the best for us, even at their expense.

The Creighton fan comments are not surprising at all. Their media is garbage. Their town is garbage. It's not at all shocking that their fans are garbage. They think they're 'it' when they're nothing more than a pile of corn in the middle of nowhere. They just don't seem to get it and feel the need to use us as their pincushions to let all of their superiority complex out. It's funny, in reality though, no one gives a hoot about Omaha, Nebraska.
One of my best memories ever though still remains in the 2005-06 season when we played in Omaha, one of their clever students held a sign up that read "WSU: Official Sponsors of the NIT". Funniest thing ever!!
They promptly go onto the NIT, get eliminated at home by Miami, and Altman stomps off like a whiny maniac...with the class of Omaha throwing beer all over the refs and the Quiet Center.. CLASSIC!! We adversely go onto our first NCAA Tournament in 20 years and into the Sweet 16.
Karma worked then and karma will work again later. No sympathy from me for what's gonna happen to CU down the road.. Just can't wait!! :clap:Deuces Valley.

I remember in St. Louis that year, a guy was sitting in front of us, with 2 young kids during the Creighton-Bradley game. Towards the end of the game, with Creighton about to go down the kids kept asking their dad "can we do it yet" about every 5 seconds. Then their dad finally granted permission and kids broke out with an "NIT" chant.
