Missed the game last night. Its on DVR so ill watch it as soon as I get out of class. Really looking forward to FVV performance. Got the update on my phone and damn near through it across the room.

I'm not going to look up the quotes, but several games ago, it was clear that several posters thought MA and TC should NEVER shoot a three again. Vs Drake, they were 6-9 while Early/Wiggs were 1-10.

Over the last three games, Malc is 8-12; Cotton 6-9; Early 2-11 and Wiggs 3-12.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if all four of them turned it on at the same time for the next 4 games?

I did note that we played quite a bit with Cleanthony at the 3 last night. Kinda forced the issue with MA, TC in foul trouble and DW hurt. I thought it worked well

Oficiating sucked. Horrible zero whistles in the first half. Far too rough for my taste, might have played to our advantage, tho.

What does a well-officiated game look like to you? Is this standard attainable? Just about every single game this year, there have been posts about the how much the refs suck, especially our losses. Are there any officials that everyone agrees with that are fair and call the game right? Even the best ones can't get every single call right or call the game consistently. All of the whining and complaining about the refs gets pretty old, unless it is an obvious bad call, i.e. goaltending against SIU. It seems many people want to blame the refs for a loss rather than the subpar play of our team. /rant

Solid win. I think FVV is proving what a valuable commodity he is. Dare I say even more valuable than MA?

He is truly our zone buster now. It's fun knowing there's 3 more years left of seeing that kid.


Pretty good game. Sloppy at times but I think we've found our swag again. We need that invincible road team to come back. Show em what you're made of.

Speaking of the 2. Last night, Coach Marshall put Malcomb back in the game, after a rest.

Malcomb immediately went to the southwest corner and did something dumb. I wish I could remember what act Malcomb committed. It was either a turnover or dumb shot.

Coach immediately jerked Malcomb out of the game. Malcomb was not on the floor for more than one possession.

I believe it started with he went up to shoot and then tried to sneak a pass to CJ and it went out of bounds off of Drake. We inbounded the ball and then I believe he traveled, maybe threw it away and was pulled.

Your description sounds more than right. I remember Malcomb's misdeed was dumb, but I did not remember how dumb in detail.

I recall Malcom getting the ball from the inbounds pass with only about 10 sec left on the shot clock. He proceded to start dribbling around and lost the ball either out of bouds or it was swatted away by the defender. I don't know what the deal is, but he's not good at all in those situations.

MA is so good taking rhythm 3's, rather than playing dribble, dribble for 30 seconds and jacking up a guarded 3. Give me more FVV at the point and MA at the 2 please.

Pretty sure it wasn't that people wanted Mal to stop shooting, but to stop jacking up shots outside of the offense. When he takes what's there he's pretty good, when he decides something there that only he sees.......not so much.

MA did dribble off his leg up top for a turnover. That was all for him. He was in for fewer than 15 seconds. I was watching him closely for his reaction. Kinda funny. He slapped his hands together in frustration. I'm sure he is mad coach has a short chain on him. But part is frustration because he knew he would be coming out after that maneuver. I would bet that very thing has been addressed multiple times. Plus that kind of crap has cost us at crunch time.
