  • I still haven't heard the apologies necessary for the retirement of this thread. Don't make me call you out by name. Read the first couple pages; if your are on it blabbering about regarding MA's effectiveness, do the right thing.

    • If Marshall reads Shockernet, I'm glad he has more sense than us. At least six or seven need to give us an update on their thoughts.

        • Marcus has been the man lately, but coach's comments to Sully in the paper were that he was only half joking when he threatened to start subbing Fred for Marcus at the end of games.

          • Armstead seems far better on the court with Fred getting increased minutes at the point.

            • Armstead is making the most of himself. He was associated directly with a few of our losses throughout the year. At the time, I was totally fine with starting FVV over MA. I think MA has reasserted himself as a "leader". When he passes the ball and hits shots, there's no doubt I want him on the floor running the show. And that's not to say that FVV has played bad lately either. He continues to come along and will get his chance. In fact, the two compliment each other pretty nicely when they're both in the game simultaneously.

              Thanks for stepping up, Marcus.

              • I can be as negative as the next guy, and I usually don't bite my tongue, but some of the comments on here were just plain disrespectful. I personally don't mind if a fan is harsh towards a non-performer such as Jake White, but when you attack a player that has been pivotal to our success, that is reprehensible IMO.

                • FreshVV will run this team for three more years in a way that wins more titles. This is armstuds year. Freshie may have wisely taken one of the best point guard gigs available in the country when he came here.

Not trying to be on topic. Just rambling over here and enjoying myself. Carry on

If you hadn't posted on this thread again, it would have died a quiet death on the 4th page of this forum.

                    • It is hard to top bringing in FVV, Cle, and Wiggy off the bench. Who knows, at the Lew, we may be able to throw in Baker the Maker, just for good measure, if he gets healthy. Can't think of many if any teams in or out of the Valley that has that many solid players to call on from the bench? I sure like the quality depth of our Squad.

armstud and van vleet is a pretty damn good guard combo.

how in the hell did we struggle with creighton here? was that our worst shooting game?

I agree that I like Fred and Malcolm in the game at the same time but Armstead's been good almost all the time since the MSU game. DWill has been good too. Marshall was right to put the rest of the season at the Senior's feet.

                          • Like I said in this thread: MA could fix his "problems" in one game. He is the number one reason that we are contending for a title after losing five seniors.

                            • Fred is becoming so confident and correspondingly, he is playing so well....at times.

I thought the last game was his best game. He just looked so in charge and never for a moment did he appear as if the game was too big for him.

Nevertheless, Malcolm is the man. He is playing at a pretty high level right now. Very high.

Fred has a chance to play in the Big Dance for four consecutive years. When was the last time that has happened around here?

I know. I know. I may be a touch too optimistic here.
