The only one that knew MT was Dave Magley and his parents never wanted Ryan to go to wichita. Magley press him hard about it. And I'm sorry I'm not an English professor. And Ryan is a gift from GOD.

Ryan Bradley just always looked overmatched to me. He just seemed to deliberate and predictable in his post moves. Defensively, he was a liability. If here were on this team, he might contribute as much as Durley, but at two years older.
David King was a kid I was really hoping would work out for WSU. With his athleticism and shooting ability, he could have been a very good PF. But the b-ball IQ aspect didn't seem to materialize.
But I digress.

I'm just a guy that has been a friend and a coach of Ryan's for 10 years. I also think David king and Chris brown got screwed over two and as MT goes I did not like him from day 1.

Most people know how I feel about Ryan...besides the fact he has a great name, he is a super good guy. I think he knew in his heart that he could have a better career at the D2 level, as evidenced by his being at many WSU events. Every time I have talked to him since he parted ways has been at a WSU event. I realize there is a good reason for him to be at most of the events (really good ;) ), but trust me, if there was ill will he probably wouldn't be there. He doesn't hold a grudge against anyone, and I'm really happy for his success at Newman.Jocks & Jills

Those of us who know or who have met Ryan know that what joe brown has brought up is total BS."Don't measure yourself by what you have accomplished, but by what you should accomplish with your ability."

Good for Ryan, glad he's having some success....but our post isn't the majority of the problem this year, it's the guards not being able to shoot in order to take some defensive pressure off of our post. Ryan wasn't quick enough to guard the more athletic players. He could not help us that much this year. But he is suited well for DII and hope he does well and gets a great education."He called me around noon and was thrilled," Brandt said. "He said he was going to be a Shocker forever." -- RIP Guy, you WILL indeed be a Shocker forever!

My son and I went to the Newman vs Texas Permian Basin (4-10) last Saturday night. Newman came up on the short end. Tex PB started a 6'5" post player. Their second post player was 6'9" and weighed close to 350 lbs.
Ryan was outplayed by their starter, but he got more rest than Ryan. I expected him to be more helpful to the Jets. Ryan's first move is still a split seocnd slow whether it's with his feet or his hands. Ryan might get some honorable mention all-conference recognition. Maybe more next year.
Good luck to Ryan.

Question, did Ryan B have any other D1 offers out of High School ?
From what I've read about RB, he is a great fit at Newman and Pott's is a great person, coach and will be a great mentor for RB.
Joe, the Bible says that everything works itself out for good for those who love God so give it a rest. Ryan is in the right place !!! and we all still support him and wish him the best
GO RB !!!!!

I see him at most WSU events and notice a lot of people who stop by and wish him good luck. I also know several people who are WSU fans who have gone to Newman games to see him play. I think it's great that people still support him almost like he's part of the program so I hope he likes Wichita for that also.
I think Randy S. did a good job talking about him in the pregame for a Newman game that I happened to catch driving home late after work one day. He mentioned that Ryan, at times, looks like a D1 player on the court. At other times he looks like a D2 player. He went on to say that at a D2 or JUCO level you need D1 players to win. Guys like Ryan are needed at the D2 level for the best teams to succeed. For whatever reason they end up there and shine which may be as good for them as riding the pine at the D1 level due to lack of consistancy.
How many time in exhibition games against D2 opponents have we seen a guy put up 20-25 pts on us and wonder why he isn't playing D1. Then if you follow the box scores you'll see that half the games they perform at that level and the other half they are well under that.
I think Ryan had/has potential, but it wasn't going to get fully developed playing 5-10 min a game for 3 years before maybe getting 10-15 a game. I think he'll reach a higher level of his potential in his current situation and I wish him the best of luck.
