It would seem that would ALMOST guarantee a second team making the Dance every year. :)
Not a bad idea at all. Some issues that I see is that winning the Valley regular season doesn't necessarily get a ticket punched to the NCAA, although it probably should. I don't have time to research it, but I'm curious what the percentage is of Valley regular season champs getting into the NCAA without winning the MVC tournament--I would guess it would be pretty high. Winning a game or two in the Valley tournament could sometimes be the difference between whether or not the regular season champs get to the NCAA. Also, participating in the tournament could help a team's seeding in the NCAA, but I guess the opposite is also true (look what happened to us last year). At any rate, my point is it seems that all too often our regular season champs don't get much sleep the night before Selection Sunday without that auto bid.

Why even make 6 an option? We haven't lost 6 games in a year, and all of a sudden we're going to lose 6 in a month?

Even KCS and LfG aren't that stupid.

I refuse to participate in this poll, because "Zero" was not an option.

I could be wrong but I believe MSU in 2011 was the first in a long time.

Then this regular season champ not participating in the MVC tournament thing sounds like a pretty good idea.
