Soccer should get a new on-campus stadium at Wichita State.

I just wanted to see what it was like to start a thread (I rarely do) title it something somewhat eye catching, then spout a bunch of nonsense.

I don't like that I am wasting people's time.

But it does show that I do have a conscious as I have questioned myself every second since I put it up.

I know I wasn't a fan in the past, but can we bring back the thread police....PLEASE!

Not surprisingly, you're totally missing the boat again on this one. You get so incredibly defensive when the words "thread police" are dropped that you failed to comprehend what the point of this thread was.

Recipe courtesy David Sutherland, Minot, North Dakota
Total Time: 35 min
Prep: 25 min
Cook: 10 min
Yield: 2 dozen
Level: Easy

• 1 cup shortening (recommended: Crisco)
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
• 2 cups rolled oats
• 1/2 cup chopped pecans
• 1 (6-ounce) package chocolate chips
• 1/2 cup shredded coconut
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a large bowl, with an electric mixer, cream the shortening, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Add eggs and the vanilla and beat until well blended. Stir in the flour, baking soda, salt, and baking powder. Add oats, nuts, chocolate chips and coconut, mix until combined. Spoon cookie mixture onto greased foil lined cookie sheet. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes. Transfer the cookies to a wire rack to cool.
