  • Fans tend to slant for their team

If all we see is our team through rose colored glasses, we will be deceived into thinking we are more than we actually are. Hall is good, but if he was as good as people say that he is he would be NBA material. If he were very lucky, he might squeek by and be 3rd string on the worst NBA team. Early is a diamond in the rough that is half-cut. He should make it if he is consistent in scoring for the next couple of years and works on ball handling and defence.
As for Creighton, we lose, unless we can get Wragge ,Mc Dermott or Echineche to get in foul trouble early on. Hopefully our snowballs chance will be in the arctic and not in H double E hockey sticks.

There's WAY to much of this kind of crap floating in the bowl of late. I'm tired of hearing about how good they are. This isn't Duke coming in. They're good, they're not invincible. We're the king of the hill until we say we aren't.

We have a HELL of a lot better of a chance than a snowball's....that's just disrespectful.

As for rose coloard glasses . . . I think fan bases also tend to be hyper-critical when things go just a little bit wrong. After losses in the last few years, there are some posters here who make you think it is 1994.

J.O.'s like this show up every year on here. More frequently when the team is really achieving success.

Kind of like barnacles hanging on an luxury ocean liner.

              That is all.
Above all, make the right call.

Appropriately the spread is going to be very close on this one, because it is a difficult game to call.

I think CU is the slight favorite with our injuries slightly outweighing home court advantage. But we're going to be in the fight and I like our chances.

Aside from the questionable bowing to almighty Creighton, I do have to ask one thing. How exactly do we quantify great? I hate to tell you but Doug McDermott is not an NBA player. He is one heck of an offensive collegiate player, but not even close to an NBA player. Cup of tea maybe, but no staying power imo. So basically you claim that unless a kid is a future NBA player he is not that good? Well, there are 60 total picks in the NBA draft. Of those 60 #31-60 are not for sure going to be on the rosters. So 60 kids every year are NBA "caliber". That is less than 2% of Div I players. 1/10th of them resided on a single team last year at Kentucky. My point is a kid can be a great player in college without being an NBA "caliber" player. Greatness is doing whatever it takes to help your team win. Scoring 40 a game and losing doesn't do a whole lot, especially if it is against inferior athletes. You can give me Carl Hall every day over McDermott. I know Carl can and will play a high level of defense day in and day out, and I don't think I have to worry too much about him forcing shots if he doesn't feel he has enough points yet. Those are the things that help teams win. Do fans elevate their teams players, absolutely! But I don't recall anyone on here projecting Carl as a lottery pick, I haven't even seen much chatter that Cle is a for sure NBA guy, just that he has that potential.
