We should slap them around. If Williams and MA have any pride (and Im positive they do). Ill St will get a dose of great guard play from WSU!

I hope you are right. Sometimes a bad game can be followed by another one due to lack of confidence. But a bad one can also be followed by a great one trying to make up for the last one. Let's hope for the latter.

        Comparative Stats from StatSheet.com

"I not sure that I've ever been around a more competitive player or young man than Fred VanVleet. I like to win more than 99.9% of the people in this world, but he may top me." -- Gregg Marshall 12/23/13 :peaceful:

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

Hey there Shox friends! Well, it's that time again for our teams to slug it out and I wish this game was going to be as big as we thought in the preseason but awful times have fallen on my Redbirds. None of our fans know what's going on. This skid is simply unthinkable. Something, well, lots of things actually, are broken and who knows where the fix is. For one thing it starts with defense: We don't play any. We also get into panic mode easily and rush shots. Long gone is the team that gutted out tough road wins @Dayton and Drexel and took Louisville to the final shot on their own floor. It's a tailspin of epic proportions right now.

Hopefully we keep it close, but that's doubtful. You're catching us at the right time for you, worst time for us.
I am a diehard Illinois State Redbird fan first, and an MVC supporter, diplomat, and ambassador of good will second.

Of all the teams I want to least see in a position like this, it's ISUr. I can't imagine the struggles you guys are going through. There are no excuses for this..none.

Now the Redbirds are an injured and cornered animal....and exceedingly dangerous. I hope our guys learned from the debacle yesterday because if they take ISU too lightly they will experience a streak. Personally, I expect a nip and tuck game.

I will be interested to see the line from Vegas on this one. Whatever it opens at, I wouldn't plan on WSU covering. They haven't covered the last 2 or 3. I still think they win by 6 or so though.

I hope to see the Shocks run the floor with the birds. Our boys respond well after a loss. The Redbirds havent responded well with their losses yet. The fact that we are back in The Chuck makes me even more confident. Our shockers are hungry ...

                  WSU - 78
                  ISUr - 62

                      Hey Shocker Friends

Long time no contact. I hope all are well on this board.

My Birds are just lost with no compass and no GPS. There is no quick fix and no resolution in sight. I don't know what went wrong but as Phantom said before its a bad time to be a Bird fan. Worse yet, the Shocks will be furious both with the loss yesterday and last year in St. Louis.

I think the Shox win by 20. At least. I loved Muller as a player. But right now he's the worst coach in this league. ISU is the worst program too. Makes me sad. As I do every year, I will adopt the Shox as my fav team in March.

One of these years I need to get out to the Roundhouse for a game. Afterwards, the 1st round is on me.

                      Take care

The shockers regroup against a revitalized Redbird team and win by 10.

Birds have lost their wings and they aren't growing back till next season at best. 75-62 Shockers.

Actually I hope the Shocks show up wearing the Red Wings, the hard hats and carrying their lunch pails. Time to bet back to work.

We didn't get to this point by being a bunch of pretty boys. Hope the guys are ready to make it a long, unpleasant visit to Koch Arena for the Redbirds.
