Gregg basically admitted on his show that he was introducing Cleanthony to the 3 spot starting TODAY. Personally, I think he needs a full season playing at least some three not to mention a full offseason of Kerry R to fulfill his potential. However, aren't we one scholarship over next year.:greedy_dollars:
Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

Thanks, trop. I'll trust Marshall's judgment and expectations over those of amateur posters with too much time on their hands.

I wonder if on Saturday we'll see Early, Hall and EO at the 3/4/5 to match up with Echenique, McD and Wragge. Who wants to see Wragge try to defend Cle? :)

Amateur poster? This isn't about Marshall's judgement OR mine.........this is about what NBA scouts ARE saying.........

Then maybe you should refrain from reading and posting here.

I may be new to this website but I am NOT new to following and evaluating talent when it comes to the NBA draft.......I'm not saying he will or should go....I'm just saying there will be a good chance that the chance to go will be on the table after THIS year. I'm saying the chance he leaves is greater than 0 percent, not even that it's very high.........yet. I'm saying that Nba scouts are going to take a look at him THIS YEAR. That as raw as he is he could still be drafted this years if he keeps playing at the level he's playing at right now.......

Wragge never plays the three. Never. The total amount of time that three players you listed have been on the floor at the same time is probably under 10 minutes for the last two seasons combined.

CUs first order of business will be to get 2 fouls on Cle by th under 16 TO....

That surprises me. Who does he go in for then? Is he part of the 4/5 rotation?

Yes. He either replaces Doug at the four or Echenique at the five. It actually works nicely as when he is on the floor, opposing 4's or 5's have to chase him out on the perimeter because he is such a shooting threat. That tends to open some room underneath for either Doug or Gregory.

BTW - Wragge played the exact same positions and role last year, so I'm not exactly breaking any news or giving away state secrets.

Regardless, I want to see a frontline of Ehimen, Hall and Early at some point. Few teams in this league could really matchup with that.

This league? I'd say 80% or more of the NCAA couldn't. There are some top 25 teams that couldn't match up at all with that.

that's right, because, don't forget, the shockers, an overhauled team this year, will be hitting their stride come february

I call that the "pick your poison" line-up. I haven't seen any team except maybe Syracuse that has the length and athleticism necessary to shut down:

                              1. Early's outside shooting
                              2. Hall's ability to convert offensive rebounds
                              3. EO's dunks and hook-shots

If you try to put two big men on Hall and EO to shut down the inside game, you leave a small man out on Early which will leave to a lot of outside shots (with two good rebounders to try and clean up the misses). If you put people on Early and EO, you have to deal with Hall's inside game. And if you think EO is not good enough to warrant a major defensive presence, you will have to deal with the fact that Early and Hall will still score AND EO will be dunking all over you.

Plus, those guys are all excellent shot-blockers and defenders on defense.

Youl'd bet your soul on it. How foolish.Besides ,your soul is way more important than a BB game. Why are you in such a hurry for him to be drafted. Besides, He needs more improvement and the Shockers will need him next year. You sound like Lucy trying to keep up with the chocolates on the conveyer belt. Rela.....x and slo...w down.
