I asked him if he was coming back for the Creighton game Saturday and he said ill be back for the ill state game wed. His hand looked fine. Thumb didn't appear to be swollen anymore but I fist pumped him instead of high fiving him . He said its getting better and the pain is going away.

Carl Hall is one very neat (yeah, I'm that old), personable guy. Loved talking with him in Cancun. A prince!"I not sure that I've ever been around a more competitive player or young man than Fred VanVleet. I like to win more than 99.9% of the people in this world, but he may top me." -- Gregg Marshall 12/23/13 :peaceful:

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".
A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

And when you say WSU needs Carl back, I assume you mean back and functioning at a relatively high level. That is the big question mark for me. Not so much when he will be back, but at what level will he be able to perform at once he does step back on the floor. If he can give us 80% of pre-injury Carl by the end of January, 90% by mid-February and close to 100% for the regular season finale vs Creighton I will be quite pleased. Anything better than that would be some very tasty gravy.

You guys would make terrible intelligence officers.
He said the mvc scares him because he feels so inadequate and no one should worry about him in their game plan.
Looks like he is out for ill st and cu. a collective sigh of relief for all those guys.

I hope thinking with emotion is not overriding thinking logically. Yes, ISU red and CU are huge games at home for us, but they are just two games and I'd feel a whole lot better if the doctor's report states the fracture is 100 percent rather than him playing a less than 100 percent thumb risking an aggravated injury. He's too important for the future of the Shox's season success rather than two game success.
