  • Arch Madness Attendance

Wow! I sure hate to see that Creighton is outselling us in Arch Madness All Session tickets by 4000 - 1000. Even with us 2nd, it is a huge difference. Don't try to blame it on distance. According to mapquest, we have 7 more miles to drive than they do.

    C'mon people. Get on board!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately, you're preaching to the choir. I'm sure Shockernet members make up a large number of that 1000. I for one purchased 11 all session passes. So I'm a little over 1% of the total! LOL!

We first went to Arch Madness in 2000. We went through some really tough times since then, but Arch Madness is so much fun. We decided that 1st year that we would never miss one as long as we were able to make it. I'm full social security age now, but hope to be able to make it another 15 - 20 years. My wife is just as crazy about it as I. Win or lose, St Louis is such a great city with so much to offer that we have never had anything less than a wonderful time. I'm certainly willing to drive 7 miles further than Creighton fans to get there.

I know one man who made the trip after scheduling dialysis treatments in St Louis the past 2 years and another man who knew he had only weeks to live due to Cancer. One year, he spent most of his St Louis time in the hospital, but was there for the championship game, which the Shockers were not in. A true basketball fan.

The dialysis guy has now had double kidney transplant and has to deal with a lot of issues, but has bought his tickets for him and his wife.

The Valley has only themselves to blame. Continual screw-jobs will drive a fan-base away. I'm going because I fully support the team. I would've liked an underground campaign by Marshall and WSU to have fans boycott the Valley tournament and save their money for the NCAA tournament this year.

Fans, and apparently you feel this way since you are going, will keep supporting their team even when they feel that they have been screwed. It's not the player's faults if calls don't go their way, so why should the fans fail to support them.

My wife and I get really close to these young men and would feel horrible if they had to go out on the floor with no fan base to support them. I would never support a boycott as long as our young men are there wanting our support. I've had too many of them tell me how much our support means to them. Coach Marshall would never have campaigned for a boycott either. He knows how much it means to his players to have fan support.

C'mon Shocker fans. If at all possible, buy the all session tickets and get there. Don't show our players that Creighton fans are 4 times more supportive of their team than we are. I know that not all can do so, but don't let frustration keep you away. If you cannot afford it, that is fully understandable and there are other reasons for not being able to make it. But if you can make it to scream and shout for our Shox, please do so!!!!!

I have 3 all session tickets, however they will not be included in the WSU total. I have never been able to get decent seats through WSU so gave up three years ago.

I think the spike in CU fans is likely due to everyone in the conference knowing the Jays would be the favorite all year long. WSU's attendance (at tournament time) spiked in years where we expected to make it to the championship game. First, the Shocks have their surprising start, then the injuries. I'm not surprised early sales are slower than years past. Hate or tolerate them, CU fans buying 4000 before the new year is impressive. But had they lost their starting five, were picked 4th, then lost one starter for the season, another for 6 weeks and another for 4, they wouldn't have anywhere near 4000 actually attend, let alone bought before Jan. 1.

If I am not mistaken, doesn't Creighton buy a large number (3.000) of tickets for students?

If WSU were to make the championship game what are odds that I could get a ticket outside the arena and and what prices?
The mountains are calling, and I must go.

I am the same way. I no longer buy my tickets through WSU because I get better seats on my own.

Excellent and near face value (maybe below if you can buy if from a fan from another school who doesn't make it). There has only been once that I recall that the championship game was anywhere close to a sell out. Actually the semi-finals are usually a little harder to get a ticket for from my experience.
