I've always liked the idea of a 4th D1 in KS and it sounds like Washburn is pretty much the only option that could work.Kung Wu say, man who read woman like book, prefer braille!

The plan that makes sense is for Washburn to go FCS for football and play NDSU and the like. Pitt State has great football and fans, but they would lag sorely in TV markets and other sports.
I am not sure what the stadium requirement is for FCS schools, but Washburn has a really nice facility.
WU already draws more fans than many D1 schools for basketball, both men and womens, and is in a nice little TV niche. I think it would be great for the state.
Could you imagine a little four team tournament?Last edited by shoxlax; January 8, 2013, 05:06 PM.

It would be nice if we had a facility in the Raceway area of KCK we could play the games at. One that could rotate with Intrust.

AD Thread? :)
Shocker's boss enjoying the ride
"Truth be known, all athletic directors have a list in their desk. It's all part of having a plan. Sexton has had five years to come up with his list of possible replacements for Marshall - or any coach who leaves Wichita State.
"I believe that Wichita should be a destination university," he said. "We want people to come here and want them to stay. This is not a stop along the way. But if someone wants to leave here, we want to wish them the very best. We'll find someone else.
