I don't want to see any young person with these problems. I sincerely hope he gets the help he needs and overcomes any addiction to pain killers he may have.

Jarod Fletcher, the seller, had a suspened license. Not Will Egoff. FYI.

I think it was the other individual had a suspended license.

Egoff said he isn't addicted (well, yeah), but uses it to manage pain in the knee that has had all the problems. If true, isn't this why you have a team doctor and trainers? Why wouldn't he work through them?

Sad situation. Hope he gets the help he needs. Bradley needs to step up quickly for Will. This young man has endured a lot of injury and pain playing basketball for the Braves. I'm not giving Egoff a pass on this and he is ultimately responsible, but Bradley is not blameless. Just the way I see it.

Someone who got addicted to Vicodin wouldn't seem likely to buy them 6 at a time. 6 is probably a day's supply for someone with an addiction. If he really got them for "pain management", it seems more likely he would go to the team doctor instead of a street dealer. It's hard to get insurance co-pays for street dealers.

The only way he would be unable to get pain killers from a team doctor is if he was having an addiction problem and the doc was weaning him, or if the doc wasn't convinced he was having pain issues. In this situation, the number and circumstances looks like a night's worth of recreational use.

How is Bradley culpable? I don't understand?

Or he was running out and hadn't received the new load from Fletcher yet.

Addiction to pain killers is serious. Trafficking pain killers is serious. Getting caught with 100's of pain killers is serious. But 6 Vicodin, I work in the medical field (not a doctor) and there are plenty of people that can (not recommended) take 6 Vicodin at one time and not even get a bit of a high off it, it was not like this was a bunch of cocaine or 200 Vicodin. It is illegal, however it will be a real shame if he is convicted of possession for this and have a Felony on his record for the rest of his life. There is no way with that amount of painkillers he is seriously addicted, Maybe send him off for two weeks of rehab and physical training over spring break and make him pay a fine and do 100 hours of community service, but a Felony...I feel bad for this young man, he did wrong, but I feel bad...

We may never know the whole story or the real story, but after 5 1/2 years under Bradley coaching staffs and medical docs, I'll lean that he didn't have a "pain killer" problem before BU, rather than he did and continued to have and no one knew anything for that 5 1/2 years. After twice tearing his anterior cruciate ligamate in his right knee, did he ever appear to have any continual need for pain killers? Is this how the usage got started? Were there any clues that BU might have unintentionally overlooked? I'm wondering if he should even be playing as he may have put basketball ahead of his health and good sense (as did Bradley, even if unknowly).

I fully admit that I'm very unknowing about different drugs and their affects. If this was recreational use, period, BU is not culpable at all. If his use was introduce due to his injuries, by BU, even if with the use of other forms of pain killer, they should be aware of this possibity. If he was having or showing any continual pain, that pain and its control should be closely monitored. Without the severity of the injury, twice, and still playing, I wouldn't have given this a thought.

He was responding to the fact that the article about the Bradley player referred to us a nationally ranked team. I moved the response to the Poll Watch so the OCD amongst us will be a little less twitchy. :)
