If so, is he held in the same light as X and Big Dog?

    Just wondering.
Paul is being inducted along with Sara Lungren.

Perez has some nice numbers. Single season steals leader and 3 of top 6 steals totals for a season. Sixth in career points. Fourth in career three's made. 13th in assists. First in steals. Second place is 42 steals behind him. He also shows up on 3FG% and FT% lists and FTs made in a season.

I do think he is a great player...
What did he have to do with that and why would you hold that against him for the HoF?

Jason was a huge, rare bright light for us Shocker fans in those days.

I might add that he could play, and did I believe, all 5 positions.

And I forgot to point out that he played in 22 fewer games than the man who's in 2nd in steals. Perez had a very well rounded game.

True, he was a bright shining beacon in the dark days of Shocker Basketball.

Should have refreshed the thread ... @ShockTalk: was on the same wavelength.

Just the way Perez handled himself during his time here, especially during the Evans turmoil, should be enough for inclusion.

No. There are over 20 men's basketball players in the Hall. It has been a long time since the last one has entered I believe.

I don't think HOF = retiring his number and hanging a banner.

I'll bang the drum some more for Jason. He played/lead the only two teams that had a winning record during the 90's.

No knock at all on Paul, but he had a much better coach and team around him. Total Games: Miller 132, Perez 117. Total Points: Miller 1,317, Perez 1,839 Total Rebounds: Miller 724, Perez 659.

My memory is failing me again. Kelly Pete, Greg Carney, and Bob Hodgson have been added in the 2000's. Come on @WuDrWu:, help me out here.

The reason for Paul's quick recognition has to be the fact he was an All-American his senior year.

Paul was also 6'10"? Perez was only 6'4". That is an impressive rebound total for a guard. I just don't see how JP33 can't be in the HOF.

Actually I heard Perez on the radio a couple years back and he has some serious on air personality. I would LOVE to see him replace Craig Stevens for the Shocker games and see how that goes.

I have no interest in pitting Paul and Jason against each other. They should both be in the HOF. Jason should have been for a long time now and Paul certainly belongs as well.
