It's amazing how Jason has come along since he arrived at WSU. He was so shy when he got here. My wife and I sat with him at a dinner his freshman year, and it was nearly impossible to get him to talk. Then, several years ago we ate with he, his wife and son and he was a real joy. Like you said, he handles himself very well on the air as well. What a special guy. He is really giving back to the community as well.

Jason was a huge, rare bright light for us Shocker fans in those days.
Like I said, I don't beleive we had any success while he played. I also think there is more than just his numbers.... And I beleive in his case other factors will keep him out.

It is the high quality in leadership, playing stature, and representation of WSU/Wichita by Paul that is being used as an excellent measure for comparison regarding the worthiness of Jason's admittance. No one, in any way, is saying one is more deserving than another, but that both brought these elements, under different circumstances, to our program and we are better for it. This is only brought up for the very reasons you give in point 2 and 3 of your post and that it is on the members voting on admittance for their being voiced.

If this is your belief, you should let the HoF committee in on it and have them remove several basketball players. Some never had a winning season. Jason had two.

IMO, players who should be in a hall of fame are one who lift a program to greatness or had accomplishments on the national level.

Jason did a photo favor for me once.

                Very nice person. High quality.

                Does he live in Wichita?

While @proshox is informing the committee of some losers, you can ask them to remove Warren Jabali (Armstrong) since, to be consider worthy on a national level some sort of All-American status would surely need to be bestowed.

Exactly, 150946. And, by the way, ShockTalk, Perez's rebound total works out to over 5.5 per game for his career. That's impressive indeed for a guard.

(Speaking of impressive rebounding for a guard, out of curiosity, I just looked up Oscar Roberston -- not exactly your ordinary guard, obviously, or even your ordinary all-American -- still, in his 88 games over three years at Cincinnati, over 15 rebounds per game? Really. Good heavens.)

He lives in the area. He runs a basketball academy.
