I was gonna go with undefeated for your record as well. You have never lost a division 1 basketball game right? I didn't think that would change this year. Now that I know what I was really supposed to be predicting, I will make my new prediction.

    Undefeated.

12-6 and 4th place. Sadly, the conference grind and the injuries will cost the Shocks a few games.

But, back to near full strength, the Shocks play in the Championship game of the MVC tournament.

+1. You guys are forgetting how objectively terrible the Valley is.

Southern Miss is the best team our hobbled squad will face before Illinois State in 3+ weeks.

FAIL on the poll. "4-5 losses" to "Around .500" is a huge spread, i.e. 14-4 vs. 9-9.

I guess "4th as predicted" is as close as possible available.

Didn't think .500 would earn a 4th place finish. I feel like the top teams will separate from the field this year. It looms lime WSU & CU. I give UNI & IL St. a chance.

I am reminded that at 11-1, going even a regular old 12-6 in the mvc, that still puts us well over 20 wins. With a bracket buster win, the right valley wins and a good showing in st Louis, we are certainly an NCAA tournament team.

Going 11-1 is a really big accomplishment. We can now afford a couple bumps.... Bumps that we might not even have.
                I don't think we will be 12-6.

With a guaranteed 20 games remaining on the schedule (18 mvc, 1 bb, at least 1 St. Louis), and a possibility for as many as 22, it seems very possible that we could get up around 25 wins. Heck, going 500 would make some kind of post season. I love Gregg Marshall.

It is hard to imagine much more adversity. A lot of new players & even more injuries, it seems like those two are more than Marshall's 1st year. But 11-1 doesn't seem like an adverse situation. Time will tell, but I think the 1st 30 minutes of Southern Miss will be a turning point to the season. I think Wiggins was fully acclimated which helps tremendously.

With the injuries may brain says hope for13-5 with a 2nd place finish to 15-3 Creighton. But these guys have so much guts and toughness I'll go with 14-4.

There is zero chance that we will get an at-large bid by going 12-6 in the MVC. This isn't 2006.

I think I got caught up by what the record would be, and forgot what those losses would look like.

We'd still have a Top 30 RPI if that were to happen. We'd be in.

Wouldn't that depend who the losses were to? Say we lost at Creighton, at UNI, at ISU, MSUx2 and Bradley. That would be six losses that I'm sure would drag us down more than 30. I don't see us losing that many games though

RPIForecast has WSU going 13-5 in conference, spliting with CU and Ill St, a loss to a 51-100 RPI team and 2 loses to 101-200 teams.

Even with this conference record, they show an ultimate RPI rank of 23. That's 3 spots higher than 14-4 CU.

I think as long as we split with Creighton (or beat them twice) and finish in the top 3, we would have a very good chance of being in with a 12-6 conference record. But if we go 0 for against Cu then I think we would be in a lot of trouble.
